By Registering for the State SQUAD you hereby agree to receive newsletters and information from Karate WA via email regarding the State SQUAD.
Additionally, upon registration all athletes abide by the Karate WA:
* State Squad and State Team Guidelines
* Code of Behaviour
* Member Protection Policy
* State Team Athlete and Team Management selection policy

For an athlete to be eligible for WA Karate State Team selection, the following criteria must be met in the year the athlete is nominating for State Team Selection.
i. Must be a registered and financial member of WA State Squad.
ii. Must be a registered and financial member of Karate Australia.
iii. Participated in the Karate WA State Squad Training Camp in the year.
iv. Compete in the Karate WA State Championships.
State Team Commitments After Team Selection For an Athlete to Travel to the Karate Australia National Championships in the year of selection.
i. Attend the Karate WA Gala Awards Night.
ii. Participated in all the State Squad Training Sessions.
iii. Compete in a minimum of two (2) Karate WA League (KWAL) events prior to the National Championships
Any exemptions to the above must follow the exemptions guidelines in the State Team Selection Policy.
Team Event Selection Eligibility:
1. Cadet and Junior athletes must register to compete in their Open Category (Cadet or Junior Kumite) at the State Championships.
2. Athletes must remain eligible and available for competition in their respective Open category (Cadet or Junior Kumite) at the National Championships.
3. Attendance, coaches discretion, attitude, and performance at state training sessions are required for participation.
Children's Team Events Selection:
1. Selection for children's team events is based on attendance, coaches discretion, attitude, and performance at state training sessions, local competitions, and the national championships.
Karate WA will appoint official photographers / videographers as required, all contracted photographers and videographers must hold a current working with Children.
All photos and videos taken are the property of Karate WA unless otherwise contracted on a case by case basis as per Karate WA policies.
