By enrolling in the St Catherine Laboure Sacramental Program, families agree to the following terms and conditions.
Eligibility:
To enrol in the Sacramental Program, students must meet the eligibility requirements set by the parish, including:
Being in the required school group (year 2 or older) for the Sacrament being received (as advised by the parish)
Meeting any additional parish or Archdiocesan requirements
Enrolments may not be accepted if eligibility requirements are not met.
Attendance Requirements (Students & Parents)
The Sacramental Program is a faith formation journey and requires full commitment from both the child and their parent/guardian.
Families agree that:
Students must attend all lessons
A parent/guardian must attend all sessions (unless otherwise advised by the parish team)
Families must arrive on time and participate respectfully
There are no missed lessons, except in extraordinary circumstances, which will be assessed at the discretion of the parish team.
Illness and Absences
If a student is absent due to illness:
Families must notify the parish as soon as possible
Unapproved absences may affect a student’s ability to continue in the program or receive the Sacrament.
Mass Attendance
It is assumed that if a child is seeking the grace of a sacrament that they are participating fully in the life of the church. For cathlics the very minimum required for such particiaption is attendace at sunday mass. It is therefore expected that the child is will be afforded the oppurtunity to attend Mass, especially during this time of preperation as is made clear in the Catechism of the catholic church: "The Sunday Eucharist is the foundation and confirmation of all Christian practice. For this reason the faithful are obliged to participate in the Eucharist on days of obligation, unless excused for a serious reason (for example, illness, the care of infants) or dispensed by their own pastor.Those who deliberately fail in this obligation commit a grave sin." CCC2181
Families agree to:
Attend Mass every Sunday.
Attend any compulsory parish Masses connected to the program (including rehearsals and celebration Masses where applicable)
Documentation Requirements
Families must submit all required documentation by the due date. This includes:
Completed enrolment form
Baptism Certificate (a copy is acceptable unless otherwise requested)
Fees / Suggested Donation
A program fee or suggested donation is typically required to assist with the costs of:
Resources and materials
Program administration
Certificates and sacramental items
Photo / Video Policy
To respect the sacred nature of the Sacraments and the privacy of families:
Photography and video recording may be restricted during ceremonies, rehearsals, or lessons
The parish may provide specific instructions on where/when photos may be taken
Images may only be used by the parish for parish purposes (e.g., parish bulletin or social media) where consent has been provided
Families agree to follow all parish directions regarding photography and use of images.
Parish Discretion
The parish team reserves the right to:
Make decisions regarding attendance exceptions
Request further information or documentation where required
Decline or defer participation if program requirements are not met, or readiness is not evident
Acknowledgement
By submitting an enrolment form, families acknowledge they have read and agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions.
