AWAKEN – Women’s Conscious Sexuality Weekend Terms & Conditions

1. Booking & Payment

Your booking is confirmed once full payment is received.

Prices include workshop tuition, on-site twin-share accommodation, and Saturday & Sunday lunch and dinner.

Off-site accommodation is not included and is the participant’s responsibility.

2. Refunds & Cancellations

Cancellations made at least 14 days before the workshop are eligible for a refund minus a small administration fee.

Cancellations within 14 days of the workshop are non-refundable.

3. Accommodation

On-site accommodation is twin-share, single-bed. Rooms are allocated first-come, first-served.

Participants must bring their own bath towel, toiletries, and breakfast for Saturday and Sunday and one single bed sheet. We provide 1x quilt, 1x blanket & 1x pillow.
Participants may arrange their own off-site accommodation at their own cost and come/go as they wish. This does not reduce the cost of the retreat.

4. Meals

Friday night: Participants are asked to have dinner before arrival.

Saturday & Sunday breakfast: Self-provided (full cooking facilities available onsite).

Saturday & Sunday lunch & dinner: Provided.

5. Participation & Safety

AWAKEN is fully trauma-aware and experiential.

All exercises are fully clothed and optional. Sharing is never required.

Participants must respect the privacy, boundaries, and consent of others at all times.

6. Educational Content

Anatomical photographs of the vulva and female genital anatomy may be shown during the workshop for educational purposes.

These images are intended to support learning and are not sexualized.

Participants must not share any images or workshop materials outside the workshop without consent.

7. Health, Wellbeing & Liability Waiver

Participants attend at their own risk and are responsible for their own physical and mental wellbeing.

AWAKEN is not therapy or medical treatment, and facilitators are not responsible for medical or mental health conditions.

Participants acknowledge that the workshop may involve emotional, mental, or physical experiences that could bring up strong feelings or releases.

By booking, participants waive any claim against the facilitators or venue for injury, loss, or damage, except in cases of proven negligence.

8. Privacy, Communication & Data Use

By booking, participants consent to the collection, storage, and use of their personal information in accordance with the Open Hands, Soft Palms Privacy Policy: https://openhandsoftpalms.com/privacy-policy

Participants may receive emails leading up to the retreat, after the retreat, and follow-up phone calls as required to ensure the accuracy of the content delivered and ongoing support.

Personal information will be used to manage bookings, provide workshop updates, and for marketing purposes with participant consent.

Participants’ privacy and confidentiality will be respected at all times.

9. Photography & Media

Photos or recordings may be taken for marketing purposes. Participants will not be included without consent.

Participation & Responsibility
I understand that AWAKEN is an educational and experiential retreat focused on insight, awareness, and embodied understanding. It is not a substitute for medical care, psychotherapy, or trauma treatment. I take full responsibility for my physical, emotional, and psychological wellbeing during and after the retreat.

Choice, Consent & Boundaries
I understand that all practices, discussions, and invitations during the retreat are optional. I am responsible for honouring my own boundaries and communicating them as needed. I acknowledge that I may opt out of any activity at any time without explanation.

Emotional Experiences
I understand that emotional responses, sensations, or personal insights may arise during the retreat. I acknowledge that support is available from facilitators, but that I remain responsible for my own integration and aftercare.

No Sexual Activity
I understand that AWAKEN is not a sexual activity space. There will be no sexual contact, sexual performance, or nudity required at any time.

Alcohol & Drug-Free Space
I agree that AWAKEN is a strictly alcohol- and illicit drug-free retreat. Alcohol and illicit substances are not permitted on-site or during any retreat activities.

I understand that if I am found to be consuming alcohol or illicit drugs during the retreat, I will be asked to leave immediately and will not be eligible for a refund. This boundary exists to protect the safety, integrity, and wellbeing of all participants and facilitators.

Confidentiality & Respect
I agree to respect the privacy and confidentiality of all participants. I will not share personal stories, identities, or experiences of others outside the retreat without explicit consent.

Accommodation & Conduct
I agree to treat the retreat venue, facilitators, and fellow participants with respect. I understand that disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful behaviour may result in removal from the retreat without refund.

Communication & Follow-Up
By booking, I consent to receiving retreat-related emails before and after the event, including integration resources and follow-up communication aligned with the Privacy Policy of Open Hands, Soft Palms.

By purchasing a ticket, you agree to receive information about the Event by email from the Event Organiser.
