Anti Bullying Policy
What is Bullying?
“Bullying is repeated verbal, physical or social behaviour that is harmful and involves the misuse of power by an individual or group towards one or more persons. Bullying in any form or for any reason can have long‐term effects on those involved, including bystanders. Bullying is behaviour that may cause hurt, fear and stress. Bullying is an abuse of power.”-Safe and Supportive Schools Communities Management Group

Types of Bullying:
• Verbal – name-calling, swearing, put-downs, threats.
• Physical Aggression – fighting, hitting, tripping, poking, punching, kicking, spitting, hair pulling, threatening hand signs, damaging property.
• Social – ignoring, leaving out, pulling a face, disrespecting.
• Psychological – spreading rumours, stealing, lying, and telling secrets.
• Cyber – using technology to bully via text messages, voice mails, photos, videos and social networks.
The Adelaide 36ers take a strong No Bullying stance at all our events and programs.

How we will respond:
• We will listen and talk to the person who is being bullied and to the person(s) doing the bullying.
• We will put negotiated consequences in place for the person who has been bullying others. These may include a formal warning, contact with parents, take home from clinics and/or exclusion from future sessions.
These steps may change depending on the circumstance – each person and incident is different.
We afford the right to send children home who do not abide by the policy as we strive towards safeguarding children and maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all.

Refund Policy
Refunds are only available at the discretion of the Adelaide 36ers and we will review them on a case-by-case basis. Any refunds will be subject to the booking system used for the clinics.
