BACKGROUND TO THIS WORKSHOP.
The Joy of Wood has been running hand tool woodworking workshops for over 16 years with people of all ages and from all walks of life, so The Joy of Wood staff bring considerable skill and experience to share with the workshop participants.
In 2025 The Joy of Wood offered the "Wood Women Basso" program at the Bassendean Men's Shed on Tuesday evenings, when the men were not there.
In 2026, these workshops specifically for women will be run at the Joy of Wood's premises in Carlisle on Tuesday evenings, in their "Heritage Woodcraft Centre". Hence the program name has changed to "Wood Women Carlisle".
