TICKET PURCHASE & REFUND POLICY
(Conference & Event Tickets)
1. Definitions and Interpretation
1.1 Definitions
In these Terms:
Event means the conference, seminar, workshop or other event described at the time of ticket purchase.
Event Start Time means the scheduled commencement time of the Event as published by the Organiser.
Organiser means the entity conducting and hosting the Event.
Refund Guarantee means the optional add-on refund product available for purchase at checkout in accordance with clause 4.
Ticket means a valid entry pass issued by the Organiser (or its authorised ticketing platform) for attendance at the Event.
Ticketholder means the individual whose name is recorded against the Ticket at the time of purchase or valid transfer and who is entitled to attend the Event.
Ticket Price means the face value of the Ticket excluding booking fees, processing fees and the Refund Guarantee fee (if applicable), unless otherwise expressly stated.
1.2 Interpretation
(a) Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
(b) A reference to time is a reference to the local time at the Event location.
(c) A reference to “including” means including without limitation.
2. Acceptance of Terms
2.1 By purchasing a Ticket, the purchaser and the Ticketholder acknowledge that they have read, understood and agree to be legally bound by this Ticket Purchase & Refund Policy.
2.2 These Terms form part of the contractual agreement governing attendance at the Event.
2.3 The purchaser must positively accept these Terms at the time of purchase. No Ticket will be issued without such acceptance.
2.4 If a Ticketholder does not agree to these Terms, they must not purchase or use a Ticket.
3. Ticket Purchase Conditions
3.1 All Tickets must be paid in full at the time of booking.
3.2 A Ticket is valid only for the named Ticketholder and may not be shared or used by multiple persons.
3.3 Tickets are non-refundable except as expressly provided in these Terms.
3.4 Entry to the Event will only be permitted upon presentation and verification of a valid Ticket.
3.5 The Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry where:
(a) a Ticket is invalid, duplicated, or altered;
(b) the Ticketholder’s identity cannot be reasonably verified; or
(c) the Ticket has been obtained in breach of these Terms.
4. Standard Refund Policy
4.1 Refund eligibility is determined strictly by reference to the Event Start Time.
4.2 The following refund entitlements apply:
4.2.1 More than 14 days prior to the Event Start Time
The Ticketholder is entitled to a refund of 100% of the Ticket Price.
4.2.2 Between 14 days and 7 days prior to the Event Start Time
The Ticketholder is entitled to a refund of 50% of the Ticket Price.
4.2.3 Less than 7 days prior to the Event Start Time
No refund is payable.
4.2.4 Within 48 hours of the Event Start Time
No refund is payable.
4.3 For the avoidance of doubt:
(a) Refunds under this clause apply only to the Ticket Price.
(b) Booking fees and processing fees are non-refundable unless required by law.
5. Refund Request Process
5.1 All refund requests must:
(a) be submitted in writing via email to: support@amlagency.com.au;
(b) include:
i. the full name of the Ticketholder;
ii. the order reference number;
iii. the contact email used at purchase; and
iv. any supporting information (optional).
5.2 Refund requests will be assessed strictly in accordance with these Terms.
5.3 Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within five (5) to ten (10) business days.
5.4 The Organiser reserves the right to request reasonable evidence to verify the identity of the Ticketholder before processing a refund.
6. Ticket Transfers
6.1 Tickets may only be transferred if:
(a) the transfer is permitted by the ticketing platform;
(b) the transfer is completed prior to the Event Start Time; and
(c) the Organiser’s procedures for transfer are strictly followed.
6.2 The original Ticketholder remains responsible for ensuring the transfer is properly completed.
6.3 Unauthorised resale, attempted resale for profit, or transfer in breach of these Terms may result in cancellation of the Ticket without refund.
7. Event Changes or Cancellation
7.1 The Organiser reserves the right to:
(a) change the Event date, venue, format, speakers, program or schedule; or
(b) cancel the Event.
7.2 If the Event is cancelled by the Organiser (and not rescheduled), Ticketholders will be offered:
(a) a full refund of the Ticket Price; or
(b) a transfer to a rescheduled Event date, where applicable.
7.3 If the Event is rescheduled, Tickets will remain valid for the new date unless the Ticketholder requests a refund within the period specified by the Organiser.
7.4 To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Organiser is not liable for travel, accommodation or other consequential costs incurred by Ticketholders.
8. Limitation of Liability
8.1 To the extent permitted by law, the Organiser’s liability is limited to the refund of the Ticket Price.
8.2 Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies the purchaser or Ticketholder may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.
9. Consumer Law
9.1 Nothing in this Policy excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantees, rights or remedies under applicable consumer protection laws, including the Australian Consumer Law.

COVID-19
When an Event is impacted by COVID-19, the following applies.
In the event where directions and or restrictions, from federal government, or any state government, or any local or municipality council, or any organisation capable of issuing such directions and or restrictions, prevent the Organiser from conducting the Event on the date, or time or at the designated venue, we will reschedule the Event to an alternative date, or time and or venue. Your ticket will remain valid for that Event. In this instance, you will not be eligible for a refund, or a credit note.
If you are unable to attend the Event due to direction(s) or restriction(s) from any government(s), council(s), or authorised organisation(s), you will be eligible for a refund of the ticket price (only). This may include instances where you may no longer be able to travel interstate or enter Australia.
However, if you choose not to attend the Event and there are no direction(s) or restriction(s) from any government(s), councils’, or authorised organisation(s) that prohibit you from attending the Event, a refund will be subject to clause 4 of these terms.
If the Organiser postpones or cancels the Event at its sole discretion for reason(s) other than directions or restrictions imposed by government(s), council(s), or authorised organisation(s), you will be eligible for a refund of the ticket price only.
Personal Information Collection Notice
• The Organiser collects your personal information, including email, phone numbers, and/or social media profiles, to facilitate services requested by you. This may include keeping you informed about our activities.
• Reference to the Organiser may include reference to any or all our Event(s).
• We may contact you in the future for the promotion of various services, products, education and Event.
• If you attend any of our Event(s) you may be photographed, or filmed and images, or recorded on audio. We may use these materials on various mediums to promote any our services, or titles, or brands.
• In the event that you do not wish to be photographed, or filmed, or recorded please tell our staff when you attend our Event.
• We may provide your personal details to third parties where required by law or for the purpose of facilitating services contracted by us. In the event we do so, your personal information may be disclosed to recipients outside of Australia or outside your domicile country, or state, or territory.
• The Organiser may communicate with you through mail, or email, or social media, or SMS or telephone. The communication may include information from or on behalf of Event sponsors and other third parties.
• When you provide us with your information, you agree that you have provided your indefinite consent for us to use this contact for the purposes stated in this Terms and Conditions.
• You may also withdraw consent at any time. However, we may not be able to provide you with services you request.

TryBooking is an online system for organisations and community groups that has been designed to look after the entire event ticketing and registration needs.
