Open Categories (Previously named Elite Categories): Individual Fee $65.00 First Event and $28.00 for additional events
Team Events : $65 per Team (please note this system will allow each competitor to pay individually but your team will not be scheduled into an event until the full team payment is made)
This is a compulsory event for 2026 squad members nominating for the 2026 State Team.

1-10 Competitors - 1 official / volunteer provided by the club
11 - 25 Competitors - 2 officials / volunteers provided by the club

COMPULSORY SAFETY EQUIPMENT (KUMITE)
1. Grion Guards (Males) and Mouthguards
2. WKF/AKF approved Red or Blue Gloves (all ages) and WKF/AKF approved Red or Blue Shin / Instep (8 years & above shin / instep protectors)
3. WKF/AKF approved Chest Protectors (Females 14 Years & above)
4. AKF approved Head Guard / AKF Helmet or WKF Face Mask (8 - 13 Years)
5. Body Protectors (all ages). Provided by Event Organisers if required.

All Weighted Kumite Divisions must weigh in at Gold Netball Centre on Saturday 21st March (times to be provided on website and social media).
There is a weigh-in allowance of 200g for 14 years and above categories and a weigh-in allowance of 500g for 13 years and below. Athletes that do not make weight 3 times will be deemed ineligible.
Competitors that do not make weight, may at the discretion of the Tournament Facilitator be moved to the correct weight division. The amending of the weight division will incur an administration fee of 25% of the first entry see.
All first time competitors in the State championships must provide identification at weigh in.
Closing Date : All registrations must be completed via trybooking by Sunday 15th March 5pm. No Refunds after this cut off.
Combined Categories: The organisers reserve the right to combine or cancel categories with insufficient entries.
Kata Rules - Kata will judged by the flag system. Children Kata categories will be two competitors at a time, excluding semi-final and final.
Open Kata - Children's categories, first and second round Heian/Pinan, Gekisai and Saifa, Third round onwards free kata. Can repeat a kata but not consecutively. CADET, JUNIOR, UNDER 21 and SENIOR Kata, free kata. Cannot reeat a kata. Senior kata is 16 Years & above.
All volunteers (unless they are exempt) - Club Coaches / Table Officials / Marshalls / Tea - Coffee personnel must submit the WWC card details. All volunteers must have a valid WWC card to participate in this event. If a volunteer is exempt they must be on the list also.
REFEREES - Unlees the referee has a WWC exemption each referee must provide WA Karate Federation with a copy (photo / photocopy) of their current WWC card prior to the commencement or the competition season.
Karate WA will appoint official photographers / videographers as required, all contracted photographers and videographers must hold a current working with Children.
All photos and videos taken are the property of Karate WA unless otherwise contracted on a case by case basis as per Karate WA policies.
Referees must send information direct to the WA Karate Federation Sports Pathway Coordinator.
