ORGANISER TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
Terms and Conditions – The Year 10 Formal 2026, organised by parent volunteers:
A: TICKETING
1. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before purchasing a ticket. By purchasing a ticket from the Seller (The Year 10 Formal Committee), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2. Choose carefully as there are no refunds except if the venue cancels the event.
3. These Terms and Conditions relate to both the sale of the ticket and the attendance at the event.
4. This ticket is proof of purchase of the above event and must be presented at the time of admission.
5. This ticket is transferable, but you must advise in writing to theyear10formal2026@gmail.com at least 7 days prior to the event.
6. The Seller may vary these Terms and Conditions at any time by updating them. Any variations will only apply to ticket purchases made after these Terms and Conditions have been updated.
7. Tickets are not to be duplicated for the purpose of falsifying entry.
8. Plus-one guests are welcome with a valid ticket but must attend with a Stella student and are limited to one guest per student.
9. The venue (Sea Deck) reserves the right to refuse entry.
10. Tickets cannot be on-sold by any means at a price greater than the purchase price of the ticket. Scalped tickets may be cancelled, and the ticket holder denied entry.
11. If the event needs to be postponed due to unforeseen circumstances, students will be advised of the new event date.
12. You have provided personal contact details, including but not limited to your email address and mobile phone number. This information will be collected and used by the Formal Committee solely for the purpose of administering and managing the Event. Such purposes include, but are not limited to, facilitating ticket purchases, communicating event-related information, and providing attendees and purchasers with updates, reminders, or notifications regarding any changes to event details.
B: PURCHASER’S LEGAL RESPONSIBILITIES: SAFETY & CONDUCT
1. This is an Under 18 event. The venue has a zero-tolerance alcohol, nicotine and drug policy.
2. All bags will be checked upon entry and any of the above substances will be confiscated and reported to the venue and event organisers.
3. No large bags/back packs are allowed into the event. Small handbags are ok, but again, these will be checked.
4. Security will be doing pat downs.
5. Any persons who present themselves at the entrance of the venue who is noisy, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, threatening or disorderly will be denied entry. This will be at the discretion of the event security team.
6. If any satchels, containers or any evidence of alcohol, drugs or liquid nicotine or nicotine-containing e-cigarettes are found, the entire event will cease immediately, and the vessel will return to the nearest wharf.
7. Should any student be found with or under the influence of any alcohol, drugs or e-cigarettes, the entire event will cease immediately, and we will return to the nearest wharf.
8. Under Section 118 of the Liquor Act of 2007, a student cannot obtain, consume or carry liquor into the event.
9. Under Section 117 of the Liquor Act of 2007, no person including any parent or responsible adult is permitted to sell or supply alcohol to a minor at the event and should the student be found in possession of alcohol having been supplied by an adult on the premises, the entire event will cease immediately, and the vessel will return to the nearest wharf.
10. Anyone who possesses liquid nicotine or nicotine-containing e-cigarettes will be committing an offence under NSW law.
C: EVENT DETAILS
1. Venue – Sea Deck
2. Location - Eastern Pontoon, Circular Quay, Sydney
3. Date – Wednesday 2 December 2026
4. Arrive - 6:15pm
5. Board - 6:30pm
6. Disembark - 6:45pm (sharp)
7. Finish time – 9:30pm
8. Price – Early bird price AUD $139 single ticket available until Friday 24 July 2026. After this time, ticket sales will continue at the standard ticket price of AUD $150 single ticket, until ticket sales close at midnight on Friday 6 November 2026.

10. Once guests disembark the vessel when the event finishes, it is the parent or guardian’s responsibility of the student’s safe return to their next destination.
D: General Provisions
1. If any part of this agreement is held to be unenforceable, the unenforceable part must be given effect to the greatest extent possible, and the remainder will remain in full force and effect. This agreement is governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia.
