Seaview Tavern Lip Sync Battle: Season Two
Event Format & Guidelines
Date: Saturday 18th April
Location: The Seaview Tavern
Entry: Free | All Ages Welcome | Props Encouraged

How It Works:
Participants will lip sync to a chosen song while using props, dance moves, costumes, and team members to bring their performance to life. A live DJ will be spinning the tracks, and the best act of the night will take home a prize!

Event Breakdown:
1. Gather Participants & Form Teams
Perform solo or in a group (teams encouraged!).

Team size is flexible but must be manageable on stage.

2. Choose Your Song
Pick a song that suits your vibe. Pop, rock, old-school classics, anything goes!

Song choices are first-come, first-served. If someone picks yours first, you’ll need to choose another.

Submit your song choice ahead of time or early on the night.

3. Stage & DJ Setup
A DJ will be live on the decks, playing all performances.

The stage will be clear and open with enough space to perform.

A screen may show a video clip if available for the song.

4. Performance Rules
Each act has 2 minutes max to perform.

Costumes, props, and choreography are encouraged!

Please keep all performances family-friendly, this is an all-ages event. No songs with explicit content.

A judging panel of 3-4 people will vote on their favourite act.

5. Creativity is Key!
Think big: use wigs, glasses, inflatable guitars, backup dancers – whatever you need!

Focus on energy, stage presence, and entertainment value.

Fun is more important than perfection, just own the stage!

6. The Battle Begins
Performances will be in a set order (announced on the night).

The crowd is encouraged to cheer and vote for their favourites.

Judges will provide light feedback and choose the winners.

Prizes:
1st Prize: All-Inclusive Sanctus Brewing Tour with a food and beverage package valued at $500
2nd Prize: $200 Seaview Tavern Voucher
3rd Prize: $100 Seaview Tavern Voucher

Final Notes

All participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

By entering, you agree to be photographed or filmed for promotional use.

The judges’ decision is final.

Entry to the event is free.

Participants who register online prior to the event will receive one (1) complimentary cocktail on the night. Online registrations must be completed before 5pm on Saturday 18th April to be eligible. After 5pm on the night you can sign up in person with our friendly staff.

All contestants aged 18 and over will receive one (1) complimentary schooner of beer, provided by our event sponsor, Sanctus Brewing Co.

All complimentary beverages are subject to RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) regulations. Valid ID may be required. Complimentary drinks are not transferable or redeemable for cash.
