SIP N SPRINT – Terms & Conditions
By registering for and/or participating in SIP N SPRINT (the “Event”), you agree to the following terms:

1. Age Requirement:
1.1 All participants must be 18 years of age or older (or the legal drinking age in the relevant jurisdiction).
1.2 By registering, you confirm that you meet the legal drinking age requirement.
1.3 Valid photo ID may be required at participating venues.

2. Nature of the Event
2.1 SIP N SPRINT is a social 5km fun run involving optional stops at licensed venues.
2.2 This is not a competitive race.
2.3 Participation is entirely voluntary.

3. Alcohol Consumption
3.1 The purchase and consumption of alcohol is entirely optional.
3.2 All drinks are purchased individually by participants.
3.3 Participants are solely responsible for monitoring and managing their own alcohol consumption.
3.4 No participant is required or pressured to consume alcohol.
3.5 Non-alcoholic beverages are encouraged and welcome.

4. Personal Responsibility
4.1 Each participant acknowledges that they are fully responsible for their own actions, behaviour, health, and safety throughout the Event.
4.2 Participants agree to act responsibly, respectfully, and lawfully at all times.
4.3 Participants are responsible for arranging safe transport home.
4.4 Participants must not operate a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

5. Assumption of Risk
5.1 Participants acknowledge that participation in a 5km run and attendance at licensed venues involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:
Physical injury
Trips, slips, or falls
Accidents on public roads or footpaths
Risks associated with alcohol consumption
Interaction with members of the public
5.2 By participating, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with the Event.

6. Medical Fitness
6.1 Participants confirm they are physically fit and medically able to participate in a 5km run.
6.2 Participants confirm they have no medical condition that would make participation unsafe, particularly in combination with alcohol consumption.
6.3 Participants accept full responsibility for any health consequences arising from participation.

7. Release of Liability
7.1 SIP N SPRINT is a student-organised social event and is not affiliated with any university, venue, or governing body unless otherwise stated.
7.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law, the organisers are not liable for:
Injury, illness, or death
Loss or damage to personal property
Alcohol-related incidents
Actions of other participants
Actions of venue staff or third parties
Any indirect or consequential loss
7.3 By participating, you release and hold harmless the organisers from any and all claims, demands, or legal actions arising out of or connected to your participation in the Event.

8. Venue Compliance
8.1 Participants must comply with all rules and policies of each licensed venue.
8.2 Venues reserve the right to refuse entry or service to any individual.
8.3 Any participant removed from a venue due to misconduct will not receive a refund.

9. Conduct
9.1 Aggressive, unsafe, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.
9.2 The organisers reserve the right to remove any participant from the Event for unsafe conduct.

10. Entry Fee & Charity
10.1 The $5 entry fee is a voluntary contribution toward the nominated charity.
10.2 Entry fees are non-refundable unless the Event is cancelled in accordance with Section 11.
10.3 The organisers will donate the collected funds after the Event.

11. Weather & Cancellation Policy
11.1 The Event will proceed in most weather conditions, including light rain. Participants are responsible for dressing appropriately for weather conditions.
11.2 The organisers reserve the right to postpone, modify, or cancel the Event due to extreme weather, safety concerns, government restrictions, venue issues, or circumstances beyond the organisers’ control.
11.3 In the event of cancellation or postponement, entry fees will not be refunded, as all proceeds are designated for charitable donation and event-related administrative costs.
11.4 By registering, participants acknowledge and agree that the $5.50 entry fee is a charitable contribution and is therefore non-refundable except where required by law.

12. Photography & Media
12.1 Photos and videos may be taken during the Event.
12.2 By participating, you consent to being photographed and having images shared on social media for promotional purposes.

13. Agreement
By registering for or attending SIP N SPRINT, you confirm that:
You have read and understood these Terms & Conditions
You accept full personal responsibility for your participation
You voluntarily assume all risks
You agree that the organisers are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your participation


TryBooking is an online system for organisations and community groups that has been designed to look after the entire event ticketing and registration needs.

All issues relating to the sale of tickets and the hosting of their associated event(s) are the responsibility of the “Event Organiser” and not that of TryBooking Pty Ltd (Australian Business Number 71126987915).
