Terms and Conditions  −  Dodgeball Doubles

Tournament Terms & Conditions

By registering for and purchasing a ticket to this tournament, all players and participants agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Participation at Own Risk
All participants take part in the tournament at their own risk. The organisers, venue, staff, volunteers, and affiliated organisations are not responsible for any injury, illness, loss, damage, or personal property loss sustained before, during, or after the event.

Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically fit and capable of participating in a dodgeball tournament.

2. Player Responsibility
- All players are expected to:
- Follow the tournament rules and referee instructions
- Respect referees, organisers, volunteers, and other participants
- Play in a safe and sportsmanlike manner

The organisers reserve the right to warn, penalise, or remove any player or team from the event for unsafe behaviour, misconduct, or failure to follow event rules. No refund will be issued if a participant is removed from the tournament.

Referee decisions during matches are final.

3. Schedule and Format
The tournament schedule, format, and rules may be adjusted at the discretion of the organisers if required for the smooth running of the event. This may include changes due to timing, team numbers, venue requirements, or unforeseen circumstances.

4. Photography and Media Consent
By purchasing a ticket and participating in this event, players and teams consent to photography and video recording taking place during the tournament.

These images and videos may be used by the organisers for:
- Social media
- Promotional material
- Marketing
- Event coverage

Participants acknowledge that they will not receive compensation for the use of these images or recordings.

5. Refunds
Full refunds are permitted for registrations cancelled prior to the registration closing date.

Once registration has closed, 50% refunds may be issued up until the release of the tournament schedule.

After the tournament schedule has been released, no refunds will be permitted.

Refund requests must be submitted to the event organiser. Refunds will be processed using the original payment method where possible and may take several business days to be completed.

6. Equipment and Safety
Players must wear appropriate sporting footwear and follow all safety directions from referees and organisers. Any equipment deemed unsafe by referees or organisers may not be used during the tournament.

7. Late Arrivals and Forfeits
Teams are expected to be present and ready to play at their scheduled game time.

If a team is not present and ready to begin within 3 minutes of the scheduled start time, the game may be recorded as a forfeit at the discretion of the referee or tournament organisers.

Teams must have at least two players present and ready to play in order to start a game.

If both teams are late, the game clock may begin without play and the scheduled game time will continue to run. Once both teams are ready, the game will proceed with the remaining time on the clock.

Repeated late arrivals or forfeits may result in removal from the tournament at the discretion of the organisers.

Teams are responsible for monitoring the tournament schedule and ensuring they arrive at the correct court on time.

8. Team Rosters and Player Eligibility
Teams may register up to 3 players, with 2 players competing on court at any one time.

All players must be registered to a team prior to the start of the tournament. Once the tournament has begun, players may not be added to a team roster.

Players may only compete for one team in the tournament and cannot switch between teams.

If a team registered with 3 players, substitutions between matches are permitted. Mid-game substitutions are not allowed unless directed by a referee due to injury.

If a team is unable to continue due to injury or player absence and has fewer than one available player, the team may be required to forfeit remaining matches.

In exceptional circumstances, organisers may approve a replacement player prior to the start of knockout rounds if a team loses a player due to injury or unavoidable circumstances.

The organisers reserve the right to verify player eligibility and remove any team found to be violating roster rules.
