Barcaldine Showground Camping
This facility is provided by Barcaldine Regional Council (BRC) as a camping area. It does not provide the full facilities of a commercial caravan park.
Cost: $42 per site per night - powered or unpowered. Payment is only for camping and does not guarantee a site
Each ticket is open to one night, with up to three (3) nights maximum stay permitted.
No bookings required, first in first served basis
Operating Times: The Showground will be open to the travelling public for camping from 1 February to 30 November each year.
Duration of Stay: Camping will be permitted for short term stays for a maximum of 3 nights only in accordance with SLM/2013/493 Secondary Use of Trust Land under the Land Act.

Callout: There may be charges for a callout of Council or other services if the caller is responsible for the problem or incident.
Sites: Payment in full must be made when checking into the site. Please ensure that there is a 3m fire separation between each camper.
Power: All powered sites require a 15amp rated lead.
Water: The water supply is potable bore water. There may be a need to share the taps to allow all campers to have access to a water supply.
Waste Water: There are two dump points for disposing waste water and sewerage from holding tanks or cassettes. Cassettes are NOT
to be emptied into the toilets.
Sites: Please ensure that there is a 3m fire separation between each camper.
Litter: Please leave your site clear of all litter on your departure. Thank you.
Smoking: The inside of all buildings and ablutions blocks are non-smoking areas at all times.
Vehicles: Vehicles must be parked beside the site, not across the front of the site.
Fires: No fires are permitted at any time.
LPG: Gas bottles are available for purchase or refilling at several local businesses.
Visitors: All are welcome during your stay. You are responsible for your guests’ behaviour.
Noise: All guests are to use the facilities in a quiet and co-operative manner, respecting others staying at the camping area.
Speed Limit: The speed limit within the Showground is 15km per hour.
Responsibilities: Campers use these facilities at their own risk; no responsibility will be taken by BRC for any loss or damage to persons,
property or equipment.
Supervision: Parents and/or carers are responsible for controlling and supervising the behaviour of their children for their own safety
and the comfort of others. Children under the age of 6 MUST be accompanied by a parent in the ablution facilities at all times.
Ablutions: Do not take any Glass items into the Ablutions. Caution! The ablutions are a wet area. For your own safety please wear
appropriate foot wear.
Primary Use: This facility’s primary use is for showground and recreation activities (eg football, annual show etc). These uses take
precedence over camping and may create noise and nuisances.
Relocation/Termination: BRC reserves the right to relocate campers or terminate camping at any time. In particular the facilities will be
closed to camping during the annual show and special events such as Westech Field Days.
