Sound Recovery Facilitator Training – Terms & Agreements

1. Purpose of the Training
• This training provides professional development in trauma informed, evidence based sound facilitation.
• It does not qualify participants as therapists, counsellors, or clinicians beyond their existing scope of practice.
• Participants are responsible for ensuring they work within their professional registration, insurance, and organisational policies.

2. Trauma Informed Participation
• This course involves sound based regulation practices, gentle vocalisation, and group exercises.
• Participants may opt out of any activity at any time.
• Safety, agency, and consent are core values of the training.
• If a participant becomes distressed or unwell, they are responsible for seeking appropriate support.

3. Intellectual Property
• All course materials, slides, handouts, scripts, and the Sound Recovery protocol are the intellectual property of Sound Recovery.
• Materials are provided for personal clinical use only.
• Participants may not:
o Copy, distribute, or share materials
o Teach, train, or certify others in Sound Recovery
o Reproduce the method in workshops, trainings, or online courses
• Facilitators may use the protocol only as delivered, within their scope of practice.

4. Certification & Competency
• Completion of the training does not guarantee certification.
• Certification requires:
o Full attendance
o Demonstrated competency in safety, pacing, communication, and protocol delivery
o Agreement to uphold the Sound Recovery method with fidelity
• Certified facilitators may advertise themselves as “Sound Recovery Facilitator”

5. Attendance & Punctuality
• This is a closed group, full day training.
• Late arrival of more than 20 minutes may impact certification.
• No recordings are provided.

6. Payment, Refunds & Transfers
• Payment is required at the time of booking.
• Refunds:
o More than 30 days before the event: full refund minus booking fees
o 14–30 days: 50% refund
o Less than 14 days: no refund
• Transfers:
o You may transfer your ticket to another eligible participant at any time
o Transfers to future events are not guaranteed and depend on availability
• If the event is cancelled by the organiser, participants receive a full refund.

7. Health, Safety & Suitability
• This training is not a substitute for medical, psychological, or therapeutic treatment.
• Participants are responsible for monitoring their own wellbeing and participating within their capacity.
• If you have a medical or psychological condition that may be affected by sound, vibration, or group work, please consult your healthcare provider before attending.

8. Liability
• By attending, participants accept responsibility for their own physical and emotional wellbeing.
• The organiser is not liable for injury, loss, or damages arising from participation, except where required by Australian Consumer Law.

9. Privacy & Recording
• No audio or video recording is permitted.
• Photos may be taken for documentation or marketing only with explicit consent.

10. Agreement
By completing your booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Agreements.
