Terms and Conditions  −  SAPPHIC SOCIALS: CAKE & COMMUNITY

By purchasing a ticket to SAPPHIC SOCIALS, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Community Event

SAPPHIC SOCIALS is a community-led social event organised independently by a private individual. The organiser is not a registered business, company, or event enterprise. The event is run in collaboration with the host venue, The Hound & Stag Brewing Co., which operates and manages the licensed premises, food service, and bar.

2. Non-Profit Community Initiative

SAPPHIC SOCIALS exists to create community spaces for lesbians and sapphic-identifying people on the Gold Coast. Ticket prices contribute directly toward venue costs, food arrangements, entertainment, and event logistics.

3. Ticket Refund Policy

All ticket purchases are non-refundable.

Tickets are purchased in advance to confirm:
• catering and dietary arrangements
• venue capacity and seating requirements
• entertainment bookings
• event logistics and staffing

Because these costs are committed prior to the event, refunds cannot be issued for change of mind, scheduling conflicts, or non-attendance.

4. Event Changes

The organiser reserves the right to make reasonable changes to:
• entertainment
• schedule
• event layout
• activities

If the event must be postponed or cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances (including venue issues, safety concerns, or force majeure), ticket holders will be notified and reasonable alternatives will be provided where possible.

5. Venue Policies

All attendees must follow the policies and rules of The Hound & Stag Brewing Co., including responsible service of alcohol and venue conduct guidelines. The venue reserves the right to refuse service or entry to anyone behaving inappropriately.

6. Community Behaviour

SAPPHIC SOCIALS is intended to be a safe, respectful, and inclusive space for the lesbian and sapphic community.

Harassment, discrimination, aggressive behaviour, or actions that make other attendees feel unsafe will not be tolerated. The organiser and venue reserve the right to remove individuals from the event if necessary.

7. Personal Responsibility

Attendees participate in the event at their own discretion. The organiser is not responsible for:
• personal injury
• lost or stolen belongings
• disputes between attendees
• issues related to alcohol consumption

8. Photography & Media

Photos or videos may be taken during the event for community promotion and social media. By attending, you consent to potentially appearing in event media. If you prefer not to be photographed, please notify the organiser on arrival.

9. Communication

Any questions or concerns should be directed respectfully to the organiser prior to the event where possible.
