Terms and Conditions  −  iSeek Visiting of Seven Churches

Thank you for allowing your teen to participate in the iSeek Holy Thursday Seven Churches Pilgrimage. This is a sacred and reflective experience, and we are committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all attendees.

1. Event Overview
- The iSeek leaders will take the teens on a Holy Thursday pilgrimage, visiting seven churches for prayer and reflection.
- The event will begin and end at St Charbel’s Punchbowl.
- The churches we will visit include:
Our Lady of the Assumption, Armenian Catholic Church, Lidcombe NSW 2141
St Andrews Ukrainian Catholic Church, Lidcombe NSW 2141
St Mary's Cathedral, Sydney NSW 2000
St Maroun’s Cathedral, Redfern NSW 2016
St Michael’s Melkite Cathedral, Darlington NSW 2008
St Vincents Catholic Church, Ashfield NSW 2131
St Charbel’s Church, Punchbowl NSW 2196

2. Schedule and Timing
- Departure: St Charbel’s Punchbowl, 7:30pm Departure.
- Estimated return: By 11pm, but we may return slightly later depending on travel time and prayer duration. Parents will be updated if there are significant delays.
- Pick-up: St Charbel’s Punchbowl. Parents/guardians must ensure their child is collected promptly upon return. Leaders will supervise your teen 15 minutes after arrival, but after that they are no longer our responsibility.

3. Supervision and Attendance
- All teens must sign in with a leader upon arrival and sign out before leaving.
- Once the pilgrimage begins, participants are not permitted to leave unless there is a feasible emergency, in which case parents must contact Georgette on 0457 771 204.
Teens will be supervised by iSeek leaders at all times.
- If a participant needs to leave early for any reason, prior written consent from a parent/guardian is required.

4. Transport and Safety
Transport between churches will be provided by bus drivers registered, insured vehicles.
- The company will adhere to NSW road safety laws and ensure all passengers wear seatbelts at all times.
- Teens will remain in their assigned bus for the entire journey unless changes are required by leaders for logistical reasons.
- Leaders will ensure a safe, respectful, and appropriate environment in vehicles. This includes:
• No inappropriate music
• No offensive language or discussions
• No distractions for the driver

5. Behaviour Expectations
This is a religious and spiritual experience. Participants are expected to:
- Behave respectfully in all churches.
- Follow leader instructions at all times.
- Refrain from disruptive behaviour (e.g., loud talking, running, or inappropriate jokes).
- If a participant behaves inappropriately, their parent/guardian will be contacted immediately, and further participation in future events may be reconsidered.

6. Food, Drinks, and Personal Belongings
- Light refreshments will be available on the bus.
- Participants are not allowed to purchase food or drinks during the pilgrimage.
- Water bottles are recommended.
- Participants should avoid bringing valuable items. iSeek leaders will not be responsible for lost or stolen belongings.

7. Health and Medical Information
- Parents/guardians must inform Georgette on 0457 771 204 of any medical conditions, allergies, or special needs before the event.
- If a teen is feeling unwell, they should not attend.
- If a participant feels sick during the event, leaders will provide first aid and notify parents/guardians if necessary.
- Leaders will not administer any medication. If a teen requires medication, parents must discuss arrangements with Georgette before the event.
- We promote a nut-free environment, but we cannot guarantee the absence of allergens.

8. Safeguarding and Child Protection
- iSeek leaders and volunteers comply with NSW Child Protection laws and St Charbel’s safeguarding policies.
- All leaders hold a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- There will be first aid certified leaders on the buses.
- Any safeguarding concerns will be managed according to legal and church policies.
- Parents will be contacted immediately if any safeguarding concerns arise.

9. Photography and Media Consent
- Photos and videos may be taken during the event for iSeek promotional purposes (e.g., social media, church newsletters).
- If you do not consent to your teen being photographed, please inform Georgette on 0457 771 204.

10. Liability and Disclaimer
- While all reasonable precautions will be taken, iSeek and St Charbel’s Church are not responsible for:
- Any injury, loss, or damage that may occur during the event.
- Any accidents or personal property loss.
- Participation is at the attendee’s own risk.
- By signing up, parents/guardians acknowledge that iSeek and St Charbel’s Church will not be held liable for any direct or indirect loss, damage, or injury.

11. Program Changes and Cancellations

- iSeek reserves the right to modify or cancel the event if necessary (e.g., weather conditions, safety concerns).
- Parents will be notified as soon as possible in case of any changes.
