The Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918 restricts the gifts or donations that political parties can receive from foreign donors. It includes the restriction on receiving gifts/donations of $100 or more from a foreign donor, written affirmation that the donor is not foreign for gifts/donations of $1,000 to $16,900, and other appropriate information required if over the Disclosure Threshold.
