Agreement
By applying for a stall, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions. Set Up: From 8:00am (no early set up permitted)
Trading Hours: 10:00am – 3:00pm.(subject to change by event organisers) Notification will be distributed if times change
The square is surrounded by residents, and we ask that all stall holders be mindful of noise during set up.
The organiser will be on site from 8:00am and located in the office tent near the wombats to assist with allocations and any issues.
2. Trading Requirements
Stall holders must be fully set up and ready to trade by 10:00am.
Vendors are expected to trade for the full advertised hours unless instructed by Market Crew to pack up early due to exceptionally quiet conditions.
3. Gazebos & Weights
Pegs are strictly prohibited.
Gazebos must be secured using water weights or sandbags. Any damage caused to irrigation systems or grounds as a result of pegs will be the responsibility of the stall holder.
4. Insurance
All stall holders must hold current Public Liability Insurance.
A Certificate of Currency must be provided prior to the market. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of your stall.
5. Vehicles & Parking
Vehicles are permitted on the grass for loading and unloading only.
Maximum speed: 5km/h
Hazard lights must be on
Do not obstruct other stall holders or customer access
Do not park in another stall holder’s allocated space
Limited parking behind stalls is available on a first in, best dressed basis.
Vehicles must not be moved during trading hours.
Stall holder parking is available on Robert Street. Please leave parking close to the square for customers.
6. Promotion & Marketing
Promotional ‘Spotlights’ may be offered for marketing purposes. Photos and posts may be shared on the market Facebook page.
Please note: Stall holders are responsible for supplying their own promotional material this year.
7. Cleanliness
All stalls must be kept clean and free of rubbish at all times.
Sites must be left clean prior to departure. Failure to do so may result in refusal of future stall applications.
8. Behaviour
No abusive behaviour, bullying, swearing or intimidation toward market crew or other stall holders will be tolerated.
Any inappropriate behaviour will result in immediate removal from the market and exclusion from future events. This condition is non-negotiable.
9. Weather & Cancellations
As this is an outdoor market, weather conditions may impact the event.
Markets may be cancelled due to weather. This decision will be made by the Wednesday prior to the market.
Stall holders who cancel before 5:00pm on the Wednesday prior may receive a credit toward a future market (at the discretion of Market Crew).
Cancellations after this time will forfeit all fees paid.
10. Comfort & Equipment
Stall holders are responsible for bringing everything required for their comfort and operation, including (but not limited to):
Gazebos and walls
Umbrellas
Sunscreen and hats
Blankets
Toilets are located in Queen Square near Henry Street, opposite the Town Hall.
11. Food Vendors
Stall holders selling consumable products must comply with all regulations set out by Copper Coast Council and Government authorities.
Relevant permits and certificates must be presented prior to the market.
12. Stall Allocation
Stall holders must set up only within their allocated area.
Significant time and consideration is given to stall placement to ensure a balanced market layout. Please do not pressure Market Crew for a different location.
Site allocations will be emailed on Wednesday night prior to the market. While requests will be considered, they cannot always be accommodated.
13. Communication
Market-related matters must be discussed via email or the Stall Holder Facebook Group.
The organiser’s place of employment is not an access point for market enquiries.
