Terms and Conditions for attending or participating in a Riverdowns Neighbourhood Watch Events
1. Ticketing
If you are unable to attend an event you registered for, we ask that you contact us as soon as possible so we can release your ticket to others on the waitlist. This will help ensure that everyone who wants to attend has the opportunity to do so.
Tickets are not to be duplicated for the purpose of falsifying entry or purchase.
If you have purchased food or retail item ticket for a Riverdowns Neighbourhood Watch Fun Day these are non-refundable. However, they are transferable to others. If you are unable to attend, you may pass on your items to someone else attending the event. This ticket entitles the patron to one coupon. Tickets can be exchanged for coupons at the box office on the day of the event.
Tickets to events that are free require pre registration.
Refunds for paid events are available only at the discretion of the Event Organiser.
The Event Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry.
2. Event Cancellation
Rain or Shine: The event will take place regardless of rain or other minor weather conditions.
Severe Weather or Other Emergencies: In the event of severe weather conditions (as we do live in Riverdowns) or other circumstances beyond our control, the event may be canceled. We will notify all registered attendees as soon as possible if the event is cancelled.
Last-Minute Cancellations: The event may be canceled for any reason, including unforeseen circumstances. We will make reasonable efforts to notify attendees of such changes.
3. Human Error Disclaimer
As this event is organised and run by volunteers, there may be human error. We ask for your understanding and patience in case of any mistakes or unexpected changes.
4. Liability
By attending this event, you agree to take responsibility for your own actions and safety. The event organisers are not liable for any injuries, damages, or losses that may occur during the event.
5. Behavioural Expectations
We ask that all attendees respect others and maintain a friendly, positive atmosphere. Disruptive behaviour may result in removal from the event at the discretion of the event organisers.
6. Photography and Media
By attending the event, you consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded during the event. These images and recordings may be used for promotional purposes.
7. Third Parties
Please note that third-party participation may be involved in certain activities, and by engaging in these, you agree to abide by their respective terms and conditions. Any purchases or interactions with third-party services will also be subject to their own specific terms and conditions, and it is your responsibility to review and adhere to those before proceeding.
7. Smoking
Strict tobacco laws apply in Queensland to protect the health of the community. Smoking is either banned or restricted in common areas of community events, such as eating and drinking areas, near under 18 sporting areas, around skate parks, near children’s playground equipment and at public transport waiting points. In Queensland, smoking bans also apply to the use of electronic cigarettes.
8. Raffle & Prize Draws
Prizes must be kept by the organisation for a reasonable period while a winner is located. If the prize is still unclaimed, the organisation must draw another winner.
A person is not eligible to enter a category 1 art union if the person is directly engaged in
conducting the draw.
9. Marketing
By purchasing a ticket you agree to receive information about the Event by email from the Event Organiser.
TryBooking is an online system for organisations and community groups that has been designed to look after the entire event ticketing and registration needs.
All issues relating to the sale of tickets and the hosting of their associated event(s) are the responsibility of the “Event Organiser” and not that of TryBooking Pty Ltd (Australian Business Number 71126987915).
