By registering for and participating in this event, all participants agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Participation & Conduct
Participants are expected to behave respectfully toward other players, event staff, venue staff, and equipment at all times. The organiser reserves the right to remove any participant whose behaviour is deemed unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate, without refund.
2. Equipment Use & Damage
All chess equipment (including boards, clocks, and electronic devices) remains the property of the event organiser and/or its suppliers.
Participants are responsible for the reasonable care of any equipment they use.
Any equipment that is intentionally damaged, negligently damaged, or damaged due to misuse may be charged to the responsible participant at full replacement cost.
Normal wear and tear is excluded.
3. Liability
Participants acknowledge that they attend and participate at their own risk. The organiser is not responsible for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal belongings, except where required by law.
4. Alcohol & Venue Rules
The event is held at a licensed venue. Alcohol is served solely by the venue in accordance with Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) requirements. Participants must comply with all venue policies and instructions from venue staff.
5. Media & Photography Consent
By attending the event, participants consent to the use of photographs and video recordings taken during the event for promotional, marketing, and social media purposes by the organiser and its partners, without compensation.
If a participant does not wish to be photographed or filmed, they should notify the organiser on the day of the event.
6. Event Changes
The organiser reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the event format, schedule, prizes, or staffing if required due to unforeseen circumstances.
7. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for or participating in the event, participants confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

All issues relating to the sale of tickets and the hosting of their associated event(s) are the responsibility of the “Event Organiser” and not that of TryBooking Pty Ltd (Australian Business Number 71126987915).
