Ticket Terms and Conditions & Event Rules
The Dark Alchemy Expo ABN 30 747 714 977 (“Organiser”)
Event venue: Coburg Town Hall
Event Date: Saturday 22 August 2026 between 10 am – 5 pm

The following Ticket Terms and Conditions and Event Rules are the terms of the agreement between the Organiser and an Attendee in connection with the issuing of a ticket to the Event and the Attendee’s attendance at the Event.

TICKET TERMS AND CONDITIONS
• All tickets are non-refundable except as required under Australian Consumer Law.
• Tickets are valid only for the session time specified at the time of purchase.
• Attendees must present a valid ticket (printed or digital) for entry. A valid ticket can only be used once.
• An Attendee is any person who, at any time, holds, purchases or otherwise acquires a ticket to the event in respect of which the issued ticket grants entry (“Event”).
• Every Attendee’s ticket is subject to the Event Rules and each Attendee agrees to be bound by these Ticket Terms and Conditions, all applicable laws and regulations that govern the Event and the Event Rules (set out below).
• Event details, including vendors, layout, and programming, are subject to change without notice. No tickets will be refunded in connection with such changes.
• The Organiser reserve the right to reschedule or cancel the Event where necessary. In the event of cancellation, ticket holders will be offered a refund or transfer in accordance with applicable laws.
• The Organiser will not be liable for any loss or damage (including indirect or consequential loss or damage) suffered as a result of, arising from, or in any way connected to the cancellation, postponement, or change to the Event (or any part of the Event).

EVENT RULES
1. Right to Refuse Entry or exclude Attendees
(a) The Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any Attendee from the Event where the Attendee breaches the Event Rules. Such refusal or expulsion will be without refund of ticket price.
(b) An Attendee who is in breach of the Event Rules may, in addition to begin refused entry or ejected from the Event, be subject to legal action (including criminal prosecution) and may be otherwise liable at law.
(c) At the Event Attendees must not:
(i) use foul, indecent, obscene, threatening, insulting or abusive words or language, or make racial or threatening remarks or gestures, or behave in a manner which is abusive, riotous, indecent or insulting;
(ii) disrupt, interrupt, or behave in a manner that may disrupt, the Event or any vendor or other Attendee;
(iii) enter or depart the Event other than via the advertised entrance or exit;
(iv) post, stick, or place any poster, placard, bill, banner, print, paper, or any advertising material on any building, structure, fence, tree, pole, cordon, or barrier;
(v) distribute any printed or visual material;
(vi) promote any advertising or promotional material, samples of goods or services, or any other matter or thing;
(vii) distribute, hawk, sell, offer, or expose for sale any good or services, or collect money or orders from other Attendees for good or services;
(viii) conduct public surveys or opinion polls, solicit money, donations or subscriptions from members of the public;
(ix) misuse, deface, damage, or tamper with any building or thing;
(x) block any thoroughfare;
(xi) litter;
(xii) throw or kick any stone, bottle, or projectile;
(xiii) disrupt, interrupt, or behave in any manner that may disrupt or interrupt any official, employee, or contractor of the Organiser, any vendor booth, any display, or any activity associated with the Event;
(xiv) act or conduct oneself in such a way as to hinder, obstruct, or interfere with any other person, or to adversely affect the safety of the public;
(xv) interfere with the comfort of any other person or their enjoyment of the Event;
(xvi) interfere with, obstruct, or hinder an each of the Organiser's representatives or any vendors in the exercise of his or her powers, functions, and duties;
(xvii) operate or use a loud hailer, public address system, or other device which may interfere with electronic or radio equipment operated by or on behalf of the Organiser;
(xviii) ignite any flare or firework, or operate any laser pointer or distress signal;
(xix) busk or conduct similar entertainment;
(xx) become intoxicated or use illicit substances;
(xxi) supply alcohol to any person;
(xxii) smoke, except where the Venue has a designated smoking area; or
(xxiii) fail to comply with any lawful request of the Organiser, a vendor or the Police.
(d) An Attendee must not bring into the Event:
(i) alcohol;
(ii) clothing bearing any racist, indecent, indecent, or obscene language or images;
(iii) clothing bearing any unauthorised commercial, political, or religious language or images;
(iv) illicit drugs;
(v) weapons or other dangerous goods;
(vi) animal (other than an assistance dog);
(vii) any time which is not reasonably necessary and which may cause injury or public nuisance;
(viii) goods for the purpose of sale or commercial distribution;
(ix) photographic, video, or audio recording equipment the Organiser reasonably considers may be used to record the event without authorisation from the Organiser; or
(x) any item that is, in the Organiser’s absolute discretion, political, offensive, sexual, religious, discriminatory and/or commercial in nature.
(e) The Organiser may at any time require an Attendee to open for inspection any vehicle, bag, basket, or other receptacle, or turn out their pockets. Any Attendee who fails to comply with such a request may be refused entry to, or directed to leave, the Event.
2. Assumption of Risk
(a) Attendees acknowledge that participation in the Event involves inherent risks, including but not limited to trips, slips, falls, crowd movement, and interactions with vendors, displays, other Attendees and equipment. By attending the Event an Attendee may be at risk of suffering (among other things) broken limbs or bodily injury, blackout or fainting, damage to clothes or personal belongings. The Attendee voluntarily assumes all such risks and accepts responsibility for their own safety and wellbeing while attending the Event.
(b) Attendees are responsible for the safety and security of their own personal property brought to an Event and release the Organiser from any liability for loss and damage to any personal property.
(c) Each Attendee is responsible for any damage the Attendee causes to anybody else, and any damage the Attendee causes to the Attendee’s property or to someone else's property.
(d) Each Attendee agrees to indemnify the Organiser in respect of any liability or claim made against the Organiser as a consequence of, in relation to, or in any way arising out of the Attendee’s conduct or attendance at the Event.
3. Limitation of Liability
(a) By attending the Event, each Attendee provides the following release to the Organiser:
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Organiser are not liable to me or to any other person with me for (regardless of how or when the liability is caused, or by whom it is caused and regardless of whether such liability is, or claims are for, negligence (excluding gross negligence), breach of contract, breach of statutory duty, or any other liability or claim recognised at law):
(a) my death, any injury to me or the death or injury of anybody else with me;
(b) damage to, destruction of, theft of, or unauthorised delivery up of, any of my property or equipment, whether authorised or not; and/or
(c) damage to, destruction of, theft of, or delivery up of any of my clothing or other personal items
and in respect of all of the subject matter in each of (a), (b), and (c) above, I release the Organiser from any liability or claim which I do or might, or which anybody with me does or might have, or in the future might have or would have against the Organiser.
(b) The Organiser acknowledges that each indemnity and exclusion of liability in this document is subject to any law which forbids that indemnity or exclusion of liability including the Australian Consumer Law.
(c) To the maximum extent permitted by law, any terms that may be implied in the Ticket Terms and Conditions or Event Rules are excluded. Except that nothing in these Ticket Terms and Conditions or Event Rules excludes, restricts or modifies any rights granted to an Attendee under the Australian Consumer Law.
4. Vendor Responsibility
(a) The Event includes independent vendors. Any products purchased or services provided by such independent vendors are the sole responsibility of the individual vendor.
(b) The Organiser are not responsible or liable for any transactions between an Attendee and an independent vendor including without limitation in respect of product or service quality, or any representations made by independent vendors.
5. Photography & Media
(a) By attending the Event, each Attendee consents to being photographed or filmed for promotional purposes.
(b) If you do not wish to appear in media, please notify Event staff on arrival.
6. General
(a) Attendees acknowledge and agree that any part or parts of the Ticket Terms and Conditions or the Event Rules which contravene law or are not enforceable are severable to the extent they are not enforceable and this does not invalidate the remaining Event Rules.
(b) These Ticket Terms and Conditions and Event Rules are governed by the laws of Victoria.

All issues relating to the sale of tickets and the hosting of their associated event(s) are the responsibility of the “Event Organiser” and not that of TryBooking Pty Ltd (Australian Business Number 71126987915).
