Check the date and time on your ticket once purchased.

Arrive 15 minutes before start time.
You won't be allowed entry if you are late.
Have all tickets ready to be scanned.
There is limited phone reception so have your tickets loaded before you arrive. There is no entry without a valid ticket.

Children must be accompanied by a paying adult.
If a child ticket is purchased o its own, the ticket will be cancelled unless you arrange with the observatory first.

Children must be supervised and kept with you at all times.
Telescopes are expensive delicate equipment. If a telescope is handled it can't be used for anyone for the rest of the session. Any damage is to be paid for.

Cancellations or moving to another session.

A refund excluding the booking fee is given if we can try and resell your ticket.
If you do not turn up to the session on time, there is no refund.
If moving to another session, a new ticket will be issued once we resell your old ticket.

Please turn off all car lights once parked.
No smoking or vaping anywhere on site including the carpark.
You won't be permitted entry if you are intoxicated.

Overcast and rainy nights: You will be given 3 options at start time if we deem it overcast and is unlikely to clear
A) a refund excluding the booking fee.
B) or a credit for a future session in the next 3 years
C) or stay for the extended astronomy presentation. If you don't see anything through the telescope, we issue you a 50% refund excluding the booking fee.
You must attend to qualify for a refund unless previously arranged.
If you do not turn up to the show on time, no refund is given.
We sometimes email you beforehand. Check your email periodically throughout the day for updates.

The show is outdoors and you need to be prepared for the conditions. In winter it can get very cold, so please rug up. A beanie and a scarf are great for keeping your body heat in. In summer we can get some mosquitoes on dusk. Use insect repellant on uncovered areas.

Pets are not permitted.

No white lights are permitted. this includes white torches, mobile phones and other screens, shoes with flashing lights, and camera flashes. red torch lights are acceptable.

Food and drinks ae not permitted in the telescope viewing area.

The number of objects we show depends on how clear the sky is. the clearer the sky the more we see.
It also depends on how bright the Moon is. Around full moon, we cannot show nebulae or galaxies.
It also depends on how many times you view an object. If all look at each object once we can show you many more things, but if you have multiple looks at an object, we won't be able to show you other objects. We will have 1 telescope for every 6 people who have purchased tickets to avoid waiting times.
