Father & Son Camp Terms and Conditions

IMPORTANT NOTICE – PLEASE READ: THESE CONDITIONS AFFECT YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS!

By agreeing to these terms and conditions you:

1) Acknowledge that the Gregory Terrace Father & Son Camp (‘the camp’) is not an event organised
or sanctioned by St Joseph’s College, Gregory Terrace (including, but not limited to, its employees,
directors, volunteers and agents) (‘the College’).
2) Acknowledge that at all times you will be fully and solely responsible for yourself and your son,
including but not limited to with respect to the activities you undertake, your whereabouts, your
actions and your behaviour.
3) Are aware of all medical, allergy and dietary requirements of yourself and your son, and have
made appropriate arrangements for same whilst at all times at the camp.
4) Acknowledge that your and your son’s participation in the camp and all activities related to same
is voluntary and is done so at your and your son’s own risk and expense.
5) Acknowledge that the camp involves recreational activities that may be hazardous or dangerous
and there is an inherent and significant risk of injury, disability or death as a result of such
activities, including but not limited to: sickness, allergic reaction, inadequate supervision,
unaccustomed physical exertion, changes in weather conditions, slipping, falling, poor skill level,
horseplay, unsportsmanlike conduct, participation in sports, failure in equipment and/or facilities,
collisions with natural and/or man-made objects, variations in terrain, travel in motor vehicles
along public roads, travel in motor vehicles on unsealed roads, travel in motor vehicles on private
property, mechanical failure in vehicles, equipment and facilities, the use of bicycles or electrically powered
scooters or non-powered vehicles, risks associated with the actions of other individuals’ behaviour, the actions of
other individuals and/or wildlife, or any events, circumstances or occurrences outside the control of the College
and/or the committee who have organised the camp (‘the organising committee’).
6) Acknowledge that in deciding to participate in the camp you have not relied upon any
representation(s) made by the College and/or the organising committee as to the suitability or
safety of the campsite or any of the activities that may be undertaken.
7) Agree to waive the right to sue the College and/or the organising committee for any personal
injury or death in any way howsoever caused by, through or in connection with, arising out of, or
relating to your and/or your son’s participation in the camp.
8) Agree that the College and/or the organising committee is not liable to you, your dependants
and/or your son for personal injury or death suffered by you and/or your son including because
of:
(a) the acts and/or omissions of you and/or your son; or
(b) the acts and/or omissions of other individuals (irrespective of whether those individuals are
involved with, or in any way connected with, the camp or not); or
(c) the negligence, breach of contract, and/or breach of statute/statutory duty (including, but
not limited to, a breach of any consumer guarantees imposed by the Australian Consumer
Law) of the College and/or the organising committee and/or any third party and/or any third
party provider of services to attendees of the camp.
9) Agree to indemnify the College and/or the organising committee for and against all liability to
you, your dependants and/or your son for personal injury suffered due to:
(a) the acts and/or omissions of you and/or your son; or
(b) the acts and/or omissions of other individuals (irrespective of whether those individuals are
involved with, or in any way connected with, the camp or not); or
(c) the negligence, breach of contract, and/or breach of statute/statutory duty (including, but
not limited to, a breach of any consumer guarantees imposed by the Australian Consumer
Law) of the College and/or the organising committee and/or any third party and/or any
third party provider of services to attendees of the camp.
10) Otherwise agree that you will defend and indemnify the College and/or the organising
committee against all claims incurred of any kind whatsoever arising out of, through or in
connection with, your and/or you son’s attendance at the camp.

All issues relating to the sale of tickets and the hosting of their associated event(s) are the responsibility of the “Event Organiser” and not that of TryBooking Pty Ltd (Australian Business Number 71126987915).
