【Cancellation Policy】

Once payment has been made:

Cancellations must be made in writing by sending an email to ayako@walakado.com.
Your cancellation must be acknowledged by Ayako Tsunazawa. If you do not hear from us within 24 hours, please resend your cancellation request.

Cancellations made on or before 31 August 2026 will incur a $50 processing fee. Cancellations made from 1 September to 10 September 2026 will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made on or after 11 September 2026, including no-shows on the day, will forfeit the full attendance fee.


Workshop places are limited. Once your place has been confirmed, we may not be able to offer your place to another participant at short notice. If you are no longer able to attend, your workshop place cannot be privately transferred to another person. If a cancellation occurs, the available place will be managed by the organiser and may be offered to people on the waiting list in order. If there are exceptional circumstances, please contact Ayako in advance. Any change of participant is subject to approval by the organiser and will be considered based on the workshop content, participant experience, group balance, and the waiting list situation. The organiser’s decision will be final. Merchandise purchases, costume hire fees, and any other additional purchases are non-refundable. Your items will be held until you can collect them.


【Waiver of Liability】
Participation in the Miyake Taiko Short Workshop, Miyake Taiko Intensive Workshop, Kenta Nakagome Workshops, and any related rehearsals or activities organised by Australia Miyake Kai and WALAKADO may involve strenuous physical activity and may result in injury.

Participation by people with existing injuries, medical conditions, or physical limitations that may be adversely affected by intensive physical activity is strongly discouraged. If you have any concerns, please seek medical advice before participating.

By registering for and participating in these workshops and related activities, you acknowledge that participation is entirely at your own risk.

You agree to waive all claims against WALAKADO, Australia Miyake Kai, their organisers, instructors, assistants, volunteers, committee members, and members, and release them from liability for any loss, damage, illness, injury, or accident that you may suffer as a result of attending or participating in the workshops, rehearsals, concert-related activities, or any associated event.

You further agree to indemnify WALAKADO and Australia Miyake Kai against any loss or damage to property of any third party caused by you while attending or participating in the workshops or related activities.
