WAIVER, RELEASE OF LIABILITY & COURSE TERMS
COURSE INCLUSIONS
All course fees include relevant course materials and the use of training equipment provided by the organisers.
Personal safety equipment is not included, including but not limited to gloves, mouth guards, shin guards, and groin guards.
Martial Arts Weaponry – martial arts weapons listed as “Controlled Weapons or Prohibited Weapons” by the Victorian Government can only be carried, stored and used by person’s with the appropriate licences and in compliance of all Victorian laws and regulations.
Anyone bringing a weapon to a training day or grading must have the approval of the organising committees Weapons Officer and must submit their licence, carry case and weapons for inspection upon arrival and prior to any use or display.
REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION
Your registration will be confirmed once:
-Full payment has been received
-This waiver has been completed and signed

CANCELLATION POLICY
-Cancellations or an inability to attend will receive a full refund.
-If the course is cancelled by the organisers, all fees paid will be refunded in full.

ILLNESS & COMMUNICABLE DISEASE POLICY
A full refund will be provided if you are unable to attend due to government mandated isolation or public health requirements relating to communicable diseases.

ORGANISER RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
BJMA, Bob Jones Martial Arts, ZDK Vic/Tas, BJMA Victoria, Victorian Leadership Team, and the course facilitators (“the Organisers”) reserve the right to:
-Cancel or reschedule a course if necessary
-Adjust course fees if required
If a course is cancelled by the Organisers, all payments received will be refunded in full.
The Organisers reserve the right to use photographs and video recordings taken during the event for marketing, promotional, and training purposes.

WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY
By attending this event, I acknowledge and agree to the following:
Assumption of Risk
I understand that participation in this martial arts seminar held in Victoria, Australia (“the Event”) involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:
-Physical injury
-Illness or disease
-Permanent disability
-Death
-Property damage
I voluntarily choose to participate and fully assume all risks, whether known or unknown, associated with my participation.

Release and Indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless the Organisers, including their owners, instructors, staff, volunteers, members, and other participants, from any and all claims arising from my participation in the Event, including claims arising from negligence.
This release applies to claims for:
Personal injury
Illness or disease
Property damage
Wrongful death
Loss of services

Medical Responsibility
I confirm that:
-I am physically and medically fit to participate
-I will inform instructors of any pre existing medical conditions or injuries
-I will immediately report any injury or medical issue during training
I acknowledge that the Event may take place outside metropolitan areas, where medical assistance or medication may not be readily available, and I accept full responsibility for my own medical needs.

Responsible Use of Skills
I acknowledge that the Event does not condone the misuse of martial arts or combat skills for illegal or irresponsible purposes.

Age & Capacity
I confirm that:
I am 18 years of age or older, or
This waiver has been signed by my parent or legal guardian on my behalf
I confirm that I have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

Governing Law
This waiver is governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
If any part of this agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remaining sections shall remain in full force and effect.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
I confirm that I have read and understood this waiver. Or if under 18 my parent or legal guardian have read and understood this waiver.

I understand that by attending this event I am giving up certain legal rights.
