Audition Terms & Conditions – Big Fish

Presented by Western Arts Theatre

Vocal Audition Requirements
* Please prepare two contrasting songs:
One song in the style of the show (not from Big Fish)
One song that showcases your vocal range
*The panel may choose to hear:
One song only
Both songs
*Selected sections of your songs

Arrival & Preparation
* Please arrive 10 minutes before your allocated audition time
* A casting photo will be taken upon arrival
* A piano accompanist will be provided

Song Preparation
*Prepare only the strongest sections of your songs (for example: one verse, chorus and bridge)
*Auditionees may:
Complete a vocal range check
Be asked to repeat a short vocal phrase

Sheet Music Requirements
*Please ensure your sheet music:
Is in the correct key
Has all cuts or alterations clearly marked
Is printed and placed in a display folder
*Please Do Not
Staple pages together
Provide sheet music via phone or tablet PDF

Dialogue Auditions
*You may be asked to read dialogue for the role you are auditioning for
*Dialogue excerpts will be available at the audition desk on the day
*Please note: not all roles will require a dialogue audition

Group Dance Audition Information
*Please select ONE dance call time to attend:
1:00pm
2:30pm
4:00pm
*Dance auditions will be held on Saturday 13 June

What to Wear & Bring
*Wear comfortable clothing suitable for movement
*Please bring:
Appropriate footwear (no bare feet)
Water bottle
Small towel (optional)

Dance Call Environment
*The dance call is designed to be a fun, supportive and encouraging environment
*Dancers of all experience levels are welcome to attend and participate confidently
