Please read the following information carefully before booking.

This is a hybrid course. Your booking includes access to the online learning portal for 12 months, plus attendance at the scheduled full-day face-to-face practical workshop.

Students are strongly encouraged to complete the online learning modules before attending the practical workshop. The in-person session is designed to bring the online theory together through guided hands-on practice, technique refinement and supervised learning.

Please arrive up to 30 minutes before the scheduled start time so you have time to park, settle in and meet the group.

The practical workshop will be held at the Paws 4 Art Shed on Edgar Street, next door to Animal Wellness Vet in East Brisbane, QLD.

Please bring a notebook and pen. You may also wish to print your downloadable course notes from the online portal and bring them with you on the day. Please bring a water bottle.

Please wear comfortable, flexible clothing suitable for hands-on practical work. Closed-toe, non-slip shoes are required. No sandals, heels or open-toe footwear. Long hair should be tied back, and jewellery should be removed or kept minimal for safety and comfort during practical activities.

Lunch, tea and coffee will be provided. If you have dietary requirements, please contact the clinic with adequate notice prior to the workshop so we can do our best to accommodate you.

No prior formal animal massage experience is required. Some confidence handling dogs and some familiarity with receiving massage or bodywork yourself may be helpful, but is not essential.

This course includes hands-on practice with people and greyhounds. By booking, you acknowledge that you are willing to participate in practical learning activities and follow all safety, handling and welfare instructions provided by Dr Elaine and the team.

This course teaches therapeutic animal massage techniques for education and supportive care. It does not replace veterinary care, physiotherapy, chiropractic care, rehabilitation treatment or professional medical advice. Students are responsible for using the techniques appropriately and seeking veterinary advice where needed.

Upon completion, students receive a Certificate of Completion for this Animal Massage course.
