Terms and Conditions  −  Pesäpallo World Cup 2026 - Sydney, Australia

Pesäpallo World Cup 2026 - Sydney, Australia - Player Registration Terms & Conditions
1. Registration Eligibility & Pass Validation
By purchasing a Player Registration Ticket, you certify that you meet the age, gender, and skill requirements for the specific division (Men’s, Women’s, or Mixed) you have selected. This registration acts as an official Tournament Pass. It is strictly personal, non-transferable to another player without written consent from the organising committee and tied directly to your registered identification.
2. Fees, Cancellations, and Refund Policy
All registration fees are non-refundable for "change of mind" or personal circumstances, including but not limited to travel delays, illness, injury prior to the tournament, or failure to secure a valid Australian visa. If the tournament is cancelled or significantly rescheduled by the organising committee due to unforeseen structural issues or force majeure, remedies will be provided in compliance with Australian Consumer Law. If a player is disqualified from the tournament for a breach of the Code of Conduct, no refund will be issued.
3. Player Code of Conduct & Fair Play
All participants agree to abide by the official rules of the World Pesäpallo Federation (WPF) and respect all decisions made by tournament umpires and officials. Unsportsmanlike behaviour, discrimination, harassment, or violence—both on and off the field at the Lionel Watts Sports Fields venue—will result in immediate expulsion from the tournament and forfeiture of the tournament pass. For the safety of all participants, players must not take part while intoxicated or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
4. Liability Waiver & Medical Release
The player acknowledges that Pesäpallo is a physical, fast-paced sport that carries an inherent risk of injury. The organising committee, venue staff, and sponsors accept no liability for personal injury, medical emergency, or loss/damage to personal property sustained during the event. Players are strongly advised to secure their own comprehensive health, sports injury, and international travel insurance prior to competing. You authorise organisers to seek emergency medical treatment on your behalf if you are incapacitated.
5. Media, Photography, and Privacy
By participating, you grant the event organisers and authorised media partners the absolute right to use your name, likeness, image, voice, and athletic performance in photographs, video recordings, and livestreams for promotional, historical, or commercial purposes globally without compensation. Your personal data collected during registration will be handled securely and used solely for tournament organisation, scheduling, and safety protocols.
6. Health, Safety, and Venue Rules
Players agree to comply with all local venue guidelines, environmental policies, and safety instructions provided by tournament staff at Lionel Watts Sports Fields. Organisers reserve the right to deny entry or remove any individual showing symptoms of contagious illness or under the influence of illicit substances to ensure the safety of all participants.
7. Parents and guardians are strictly responsible for the supervision of their children at all time and at venues/events.
