Terms and Conditions
By purchasing a ticket to The Launchpad, the participant and their parent or guardian, where applicable, agree to the following terms:
Tickets and Registration
Tickets are valid only for the participant named during registration and cannot be transferred without prior approval from The Launchpad. Participants must provide accurate contact, medical and emergency information before attending. Participants under 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to attend.
Cancellations, Refunds, Illness and Injury
All cancellation requests must be submitted to The Launchpad in writing. Cancellations made before seven days prior to the scheduled session are eligible for a full refund of the ticket price. Cancellations made between seven days and 48 hours before the participant’s scheduled session are eligible for a 50% refund of the applicable ticket price. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled session, as well as failure to attend without notice, are not eligible for a refund.
Participants who are injured or feeling unwell may still attend and observe the session, provided they are not contagious and their attendance does not pose a health or safety risk to themselves or others. Where appropriate, activities may be modified at the discretion of The Launchpad. Participants experiencing symptoms of a contagious illness must not attend in person. The Launchpad should be contacted as soon as possible to discuss the available options under this cancellation policy.
For Full Series Pass holders, any eligible partial refund will be calculated based on the value allocated to the missed session, rather than 50% of the entire Full Series Pass. Tickets are otherwise non-refundable for change of mind, scheduling conflicts, travel difficulties or failure to complete the required preparation.
If The Launchpad cancels a session and cannot provide a suitable replacement, affected ticket holders will receive a refund for the cancelled portion of the program. Nothing in these terms limits any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
Attendance and Participation
Participants are expected to arrive on time, wear suitable dance or rehearsal clothing and bring any materials communicated before the intensive. Participants are responsible for completing the assignments and preparing their headshot, CV, attire and footwear for the mock audition. The Launchpad cannot guarantee individual results, employment, representation, casting outcomes or future professional opportunities.
Health, Injuries and Personal Responsibility
Participants must disclose any relevant injuries, medical conditions, allergies or accessibility requirements before attending. Dance, movement and performance activities involve physical exertion and carry an inherent risk of injury. Participants are expected to work within their own abilities, follow instructions and notify the facilitator immediately if they feel unwell, unsafe or unable to participate. The Launchpad reserves the right to modify an activity where necessary for participant safety.
Conduct
The Launchpad is committed to providing a professional, supportive and respectful environment. Bullying, harassment, discrimination, unsafe conduct, disruptive behaviour or disrespect toward participants, staff, guest artists, panel members or venue personnel will not be accepted. The Launchpad reserves the right to remove a participant from the program where their conduct places themselves or others at risk. A refund will not be provided in these circumstances.
Mock Audition and Feedback
The mock audition is an educational experience and is not an official casting call or guarantee of professional employment. Feedback reflects the observations of the facilitators and panel members on the day. It is intended to support development and may include constructive comments about technique, presentation, preparation, professionalism and performance. Casting decisions and feedback are subjective, and participants are encouraged to receive them as part of the learning process.
Photography and Filming
Photography and filming may take place throughout The Launchpad for educational, promotional and archival purposes. Any participant who does not consent to being photographed or filmed must notify The Launchpad in writing before the program begins. Participants and parents may not record classes, choreography, feedback sessions or other participants without permission.
Program Changes
The Launchpad reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the schedule, content, facilitators, panel members or venue where circumstances require. Any significant changes will be communicated to ticket holders as soon as reasonably possible.
Personal Property
Participants are responsible for their own clothing, equipment, valuables and personal belongings. The Launchpad is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged property.
Privacy
Personal information collected during registration will be used to administer the program, communicate important information and support participant safety. Information will not be shared with third parties unless required for the delivery of the program, participant safety or by law.
