This is a private event open to APLA members and staff of Australasian parliamentary and chamber departments.

APLA is a non-profit professional association and does not conduct an “enterprise” in the commercial sense. APLA’s fees are levied to cover subscriptions to umbrella organisations and administrative expenses. Founded in 1972, APLA is a non-profit association on Parliamentary Libraries. The Association was established to encourage co-operation and communication between research and information services attached to National, State and Territory legislatures in Australia, New Zealand and PNG.

It is a condition of entry that everyone who enters APH must undergo security screening.

All visitors intending to access the private areas of APH require an ‘Escorted Visitor Pass’. Visitors must show photographic identification at the Concierge Desk or security entry point and be signed-in by an authorised APH Access Card holder.

This visitor pass must be worn so it is clearly visible, and the visitor must be accompanied at all times by a current Card holder. The visitor pass must be returned to any Parliamentary Security Service (PSS) Officer at a security checkpoint before leaving the building.
