Retreat Terms & Conditions, Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver
Please read carefully before booking and attending.
1. Participation Agreement
By booking and attending this retreat, participants acknowledge that they are voluntarily participating in activities offered throughout the retreat and accept responsibility for their own wellbeing and decisions.
Activities may include, but are not limited to:
• Yoga and movement practices
• Meditation and breathwork
• Sound journeys and drumming
• Creative workshops (including crafting activities)
• Outdoor activities
• Group ceremonies and wellness experiences
• Optional massage, readings, and other practitioner offerings
Participants agree to participate only to the extent they feel physically, mentally, and emotionally comfortable.
2. Health & Medical Responsibility
Participants confirm that they are responsible for determining whether they are physically and medically fit to participate.
Participants agree to:
• Inform facilitators of any relevant injuries, limitations, or medical concerns prior to participation.
• Modify or stop activities if discomfort, pain, dizziness, or concern arises.
• Seek medical advice prior to attending if uncertain about participation.
Retreat facilitators are not providing medical treatment, diagnosis, or healthcare services.
3. Assumption of Risk
Participants understand and acknowledge that participation in retreat activities carries inherent risks including but not limited to:
• Physical injury
• Muscle soreness or strain
• Falls or accidents
• Emotional responses
• Illness
• Property damage or loss
By attending, participants voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.
4. Release of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, participants release and discharge SimShakti Yoga, retreat organisers, facilitators, staff, contractors, volunteers, and venue operators from claims, demands, actions, damages, losses, costs, or liabilities arising from participation in the retreat except where liability cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
This includes (where permitted by law):
• Personal injury
• Accidental injury during activities
• Loss or damage to personal belongings
• Delays, interruptions, or changes to retreat programming
5. Personal Property & Broken Objects
Participants are responsible for their own personal belongings during the retreat.
Participants agree that:
• SimShakti Yoga and retreat facilitators are not responsible for lost, stolen, misplaced, or damaged personal items.
• Participants may be held responsible for damage they cause to retreat property, venue property, equipment, furnishings, or materials through negligent, reckless, or intentional conduct.
• Participants accept responsibility for any personal items they bring onto retreat premises.
6. Behaviour & Safety
To maintain a safe and respectful environment, facilitators reserve the right to remove participants whose behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, aggressive, or places others at risk. No refund may apply in these circumstances.
7. Photography & Media
Photos and videos may be taken during the retreat for promotional purposes. Participants may advise organisers in writing before the retreat if they do not wish to appear in promotional content.
8. Changes & Cancellation
Retreat organisers reserve the right to modify schedules, activities, facilitators, or retreat details if necessary.
