Indonesia International Athlete & Coach Development Event
Terms and Conditions of Registration
By registering for this event, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood and agree to the following Terms and Conditions.
1. Event Participation
The Indonesia International Athlete & Coach Development Event is an educational and cultural exchange program designed to promote the development of karate through international collaboration between Karate WA and the visiting Indonesian delegation.
Participants agree to:
Follow the instructions of event organisers, coaches and officials at all times.
Participate respectfully and safely in all training activities.
Demonstrate good sportsmanship and uphold the values of karate including respect, courtesy, integrity and self-discipline.
Respect cultural differences and contribute to a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Karate WA reserves the right to refuse or terminate participation where behaviour is considered unsafe, inappropriate or inconsistent with the values of the event.
2. Eligibility
Participants must:
Register prior to attending.
Meet any minimum age or grade requirements specified for the session.
For participants under 18 years of age, registration must be completed by a parent or legal guardian.
3. Health Declaration
By registering, participants (or parents/guardians) confirm that:
The participant is medically fit to undertake physical activity.
Any medical conditions, injuries, allergies or disabilities that may affect participation have been disclosed during registration.
Required medication (including asthma inhalers or EpiPens) will be available during the event.
Participants will not attend if suffering from a contagious illness.
Participants are encouraged to train within their own physical capabilities and immediately notify a coach if they become unwell or injured.
4. Assumption of Risk
Karate is a contact sport involving physical exercise, controlled sparring and partner activities. While every reasonable precaution is taken to provide a safe training environment, participation involves inherent risks.
By participating, you acknowledge and accept these risks and agree that Karate WA, participating clubs, the visiting Indonesian delegation, instructors, volunteers and venue providers will not be liable for injury, loss or damage except where caused by negligence.
5. Emergency Medical Treatment
In the event of illness or injury, Karate WA may:
Administer first aid.
Contact the nominated emergency contact.
Arrange ambulance transport or emergency medical treatment where considered necessary.
Any associated medical or ambulance costs remain the responsibility of the participant or their parent/guardian.
6. Photography, Video and Media Consent
This event may be photographed and filmed by Karate WA and authorised media representatives.
By registering, participants consent to:
Being photographed or recorded during training sessions and associated activities.
Karate WA using photographs, video and audio recordings for promotional, educational, historical and reporting purposes.
Images appearing in:
Karate WA publications;
newsletters;
websites;
social media platforms;
presentations;
sponsor reports;
future event promotion.
No payment or royalty will be provided for the use of images.
Participants who do not wish to appear in photographs or video recordings must advise Karate WA in writing prior to the event and notify event staff upon arrival. While every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate this request, Karate WA cannot guarantee exclusion from incidental background images captured during public activities.
7. Privacy
Personal information collected during registration will be used solely for:
Event administration.
Emergency management.
Communication regarding the event.
Statistical reporting and future karate development opportunities (unless participants choose not to receive future communications).
Information will be managed in accordance with applicable Australian privacy legislation.
8. Child Safety
Karate WA is committed to providing a child-safe environment.
All participants, parents, coaches, officials and volunteers are expected to:
Treat children and young people with dignity and respect.
Comply with Karate WA safeguarding policies.
Immediately report any concerns regarding child safety or inappropriate behaviour to event organisers.
Parents and guardians remain responsible for supervising children outside scheduled training sessions unless otherwise advised.
9. Code of Conduct
All participants agree to:
Respect coaches, officials, volunteers and fellow participants.
Demonstrate appropriate behaviour at all times.
Refrain from bullying, discrimination, harassment or abusive language.
Respect venue facilities and equipment.
Follow all safety instructions and venue rules.
Failure to comply may result in removal from the event without refund.
10. Event Changes
Karate WA reserves the right to:
Amend the event timetable.
Substitute coaches or presenters.
Change venues where necessary.
Cancel or postpone the event due to circumstances beyond its control, including venue availability, travel disruptions or safety concerns.
Participants will be notified as soon as practicable of any significant changes.
11. Personal Property
Participants are responsible for their own personal belongings.
Karate WA accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal property brought to the event.
12. Release and Acknowledgement
By completing this registration, you confirm that:
The information provided is true and correct.
You have read and understood these Terms and Conditions.
You voluntarily agree to participate in the Indonesia International Athlete & Coach Development Event.
Where registering a participant under 18 years of age, you are the parent or legal guardian and are authorised to provide consent on their behalf.

By purchasing a ticket you agree to receive information about the Event by email from the Event Organiser.
