Terms and Conditions  −  Bloom: Puberty, Periods and Everything in Between (13+ yrs)

Bloom by Elladee (13 years+) — Parent/Guardian Consent & Content Disclaimer

About this session
This is a nurse-led workshop for teenage girls, designed to give deeper, evidence-based knowledge about puberty, periods, and reproductive health, the kind of information girls often don't get elsewhere. The session is delivered by a registered nurse, without the awkwardness.

What we cover
While still addressing the basics of puberty and periods, this session goes further in depth. Topics include:
- The menstrual cycle, in depth
- Period pain management, and when pain isn't normal
- Skin and acne
- Cycle tracking
- Conditions to know about, including endometriosis, polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome (PMOS, formerly known as PCOS), and PMDD
- An overview of contraception
- Consent and safer sex

Take-home resource
Each participant receives a printed workbook to take home, so they can revisit the content in their own time.

Our approach to questions
We want every girl to leave feeling informed, not confused. All questions asked during the session will be answered honestly and directly, using correct terminology and age-appropriate language. Our educator uses professional judgement to ensure answers are accurate, respectful, and suitable for the group, but no question is dismissed or left unanswered. Girls are also welcome to ask questions privately with the educator if they'd prefer not to ask in front of the group.

Our approach
Content is delivered using correct terminology in a warm, respectful, and age-appropriate way, calibrated for a teenage audience. Our aim is to reduce shame and confusion around puberty, periods, and reproductive health, and to equip young people with accurate, evidence-based information and the confidence to seek help when they need it. Discussions of contraception, consent, and safer sex are framed around informed decision-making, bodily autonomy, and safety, not around any specific incident or scenario.
