1 All participants must also register for the Chess Association of Queensland (CAQ) to play. This costs $20 for a year and can be done at the following link:

2. If a player wishes to withdraw, they will get a full refund up until August 5th 6pm. Refunds will not be given after this time.

3. The tournament will be played under the FIDE laws of Chess

4. The Chief Arbiter's decision will be final. If still a player is not happy with the chief arbiter, they must file a formal complaint with their National Federation or directly with the FIDE Arbiters' Commission, providing a written account of the incident, evidence, and details about the tournament. Noting however that complaints with a lack of evidence or very clearly incorrect can result in serious punishments for the person filing the complaint.

5. If a player is absent one round and has not contacted to the arbiter before the conclusion of the round, they will be removed from the tournament and not be allowed back.

6. Half point byes are only allowed in the first two rounds to allow for travel time/other early commitments.

7. 0 entries will be accepted after 6pm August 7th, the link will be closed.

8. GM's WGM's, IM's, WIM's receive free entry, FM's and WFM's will receive discounted entry
