Young Engineers Holiday Camp – Terms & Conditions
By enrolling your child in a Young Engineers Holiday Camp, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Bookings & Payment
* Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your child’s place.
* Bookings are confirmed only once payment has been received.
2. Missed Camp Days
* We are unable to offer make-up sessions, refunds, credits or discounts for missed camp days due to illness, holidays, personal commitments or any other reason.
3. Cancellation & Refund Policy
* Cancellations made 7 or more days before the commencement of the camp are eligible for a refund, less a $30 administration fee per booking.
* Cancellations made within 7 days of the camp start date, or after the camp has commenced, are not eligible for a refund, credit or transfer.
* If a participant leaves the camp early or is unable to continue attending, no refund or credit will be provided.
* In exceptional circumstances, any refund request will be considered solely at the discretion of Young Engineers.
4. Changes to the Program
* Young Engineers reserves the right to change camp dates, times, venues, educators, activities or program content where reasonably necessary.
* If a camp is cancelled by Young Engineers, parents will be offered an alternative session or a full refund.
5. Medical Information & Additional Support
* Parents/guardians must disclose all relevant medical conditions, allergies, medications, behavioural concerns, learning support requirements or any other information that may affect their child’s participation.
* Failure to provide accurate information may result in the child being unable to participate safely in the program.
* Where a child requires individual supervision or support beyond what can reasonably be provided in a group environment, Young Engineers may require a parent, guardian or support person to remain on-site.
6. Student Behaviour
* Students are expected to behave respectfully towards educators, other participants, school property and equipment at all times.
* Bullying, aggressive behaviour, abusive language, intentional damage to property, repeated disruption or behaviour that compromises the safety or enjoyment of others will not be tolerated.
* Young Engineers reserves the right to remove a participant from the camp if their behaviour is deemed unsafe or disruptive. Parents/guardians may be asked to collect their child immediately.
* No refund, credit or transfer will be provided where enrolment is terminated due to behavioural issues.
7. Parent & Guardian Conduct
* We are committed to providing a safe, respectful and positive environment for children, families and staff.
* Parents and guardians are expected to treat our educators, staff, volunteers and other families with courtesy and respect.
* Abusive, threatening, intimidating, discriminatory or aggressive behaviour towards any member of our team or other attendees will not be tolerated.
* Young Engineers reserves the right to refuse service or terminate enrolment where such behaviour occurs.
8. Collection of Children
* Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring their child is collected promptly at the conclusion of each camp day.
* If another authorised person will collect your child, this must be communicated to us in advance.
* Repeated late collection may incur additional supervision charges.
9. Emergency Contact Details
* At least one emergency contact must be provided and be contactable throughout the camp.
* Parents are responsible for ensuring all contact details, including email address and mobile number, are accurate and kept up to date.
10. Communication
* All camp-related communication will be sent to the email address and/or mobile number provided during registration.
* Parents are responsible for monitoring these communications.
* For non-urgent enquiries, we kindly request communication via email.
11. Photography & Media
* Photographs and videos may be taken during camp for educational, promotional and marketing purposes.
* If you do not wish your child to appear in photographs or videos, you must notify Young Engineers in writing before the camp commences.
12. Personal Belongings
* Children should not bring valuable items, toys or electronic devices unless specifically requested.
* Young Engineers accepts no responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged personal belongings.
13. Food & Allergies
* Parents are responsible for providing appropriate food and drinks for their child unless otherwise advised.
* Due to allergies, we encourage families to avoid sending foods containing nuts where possible.
* Young Engineers cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
14. Illness
* Children who are unwell or have symptoms of a contagious illness should not attend camp.
* If a child becomes unwell during the day, parents/guardians may be contacted and required to collect them promptly.
15. Limitation of Liability
* Young Engineers takes all reasonable precautions to provide a safe and supervised learning environment.
* Participation in STEM and robotics activities involves normal educational and recreational risks.
* To the fullest extent permitted by law, Young Engineers will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, damage or injury arising from participation in the program, except where liability cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
* Parents remain responsible for any damage caused by their child through deliberate misuse or wilful damage to equipment or property.
16. Acceptance of Terms
By completing your booking, you confirm that:
* the information provided during enrolment is accurate and complete;
* you have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions;
* you authorise Young Engineers staff to seek appropriate medical assistance for your child in the event of an emergency if you cannot be contacted; and
* you agree to comply with all reasonable directions given by Young Engineers staff to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants.
TryBooking is an online system for organisations and community groups that has been designed to look after the entire event ticketing and registration needs.
All issues relating to the sale of tickets and the hosting of their associated event(s) are the responsibility of the “Event Organiser” and not that of TryBooking Pty Ltd (Australian Business Number 71126987915).
