The Social Chapter Perth – Event Terms & Conditions

By purchasing a ticket, you agree to receive event-related information from **The Social Chapter Perth** via the email address provided at the time of booking.

By purchasing a ticket and/or attending a **The Social Chapter Perth** event, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

## 1. Ticket Purchase & Attendance

Tickets are valid only for the event specified at the time of purchase and may not be exchanged for another event unless otherwise approved by **The Social Chapter Perth**.

Attendees are responsible for arriving at **To Be Read Bookstore, Midland**, by the advertised event start time. The event will commence as scheduled, and **The Social Chapter Perth** is not responsible for missed activities or portions of the event due to late arrival.

Due to the nature of this workshop, attendees should wear comfortable clothing suitable for crafting. While every care is taken, The Social Chapter Perth accepts no responsibility for accidental damage to clothing or personal items resulting from normal participation in workshop activities.

## 2. Age Requirements

Attendees must be **18 years or older** to attend independently.

Attendees under 18 years of age may only attend if:

* Accompanied by a parent or legal guardian; or
* Written parental or guardian consent has been provided to **The Social Chapter Perth** prior to the event.

**The Social Chapter Perth** reserves the right to request proof of age or parental consent where required.

## 3. Refund Policy

**The Social Chapter Perth** does not offer refunds for:

* Change of mind
* Personal scheduling conflicts
* Travel issues
* Failure to attend the event
* Late arrival

This policy is consistent with the **Australian Consumer Law**, which does not require refunds for change-of-mind purchases.

If you are unable to attend, you may transfer or privately resell your ticket in accordance with Section 4 of these Terms & Conditions.

## 4. Ticket Transfers & Resale

If you can no longer attend the event, you may transfer or privately resell your ticket to another person.

The original ticket holder must notify **The Social Chapter Perth** in writing prior to the event with:

* The new attendee's full name
* Contact email address
* Any relevant dietary or accessibility information (if applicable)

**The Social Chapter Perth** reserves the right to refuse attendance where transfer details have not been provided before the event.

Any private sale arrangements are the responsibility of the original ticket holder. **The Social Chapter Perth** accepts no responsibility for disputes arising from private ticket sales.

## 5. Event Cancellation & Rescheduling

If **The Social Chapter Perth** is required to postpone, reschedule or cancel an event due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

* Venue issues
* Supplier cancellations
* Safety concerns
* Extreme weather
* Insufficient ticket sales
* Illness affecting the organiser
* Other unforeseen circumstances

Every reasonable effort will be made to provide an alternative event date.

Ticket holders will first be offered the opportunity to transfer their ticket to the rescheduled event.

If a suitable alternative date cannot be be provided, or the attendee is unable to attend the rescheduled event, a refund may be offered at the organiser's discretion in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

If **The Social Chapter Perth** cancels an event and no replacement event is provided, all ticket holders will receive a full refund of the ticket purchase price.

**The Social Chapter Perth** is not responsible for any additional costs incurred by attendees, including travel, accommodation, parking, meals or other personal expenses.

## 6. Event Changes

While every effort will be made to deliver the event as advertised, **The Social Chapter Perth** reserves the right to make reasonable changes to:

The event schedule
The event location and venue
* Activities
* Guest speakers or facilitators
* Suppliers
* Timing
* Event inclusions

where necessary due to operational requirements, venue availability, weather, illness or other unforeseen circumstances.

Any significant changes will be communicated to attendees as soon as reasonably practicable.

As Tiny Tales & Tiny Shelves includes handcrafted materials, miniature décor, keepsakes and other curated event inclusions, attendees acknowledge that specific colours, designs, miniature pieces and decorative items may vary from those shown in promotional material. Where necessary, The Social Chapter Perth reserves the right to substitute items with products of equal or greater quality and value.

7. Workshop Materials & Finished Creations
As Tiny Tales & Tiny Shelves is a creative workshop, each attendee's miniature bookshelf will be individually designed and unique.
The Social Chapter Perth does not guarantee that finished creations will match promotional images or the creations of other attendees.
Attendees are responsible for taking reasonable care when handling workshop materials, miniature items and decorative pieces during the event.


## 8. Behaviour & Conduct

**The Social Chapter Perth** is committed to creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all attendees.

By attending an event, participants agree to:

* Treat fellow attendees, venue staff and suppliers with courtesy and respect.
* Refrain from bullying, harassment, discrimination or inappropriate behaviour.
* Follow reasonable instructions provided by event organisers and venue staff.
* Consume alcohol responsibly where applicable.

**The Social Chapter Perth** reserves the right to remove any attendee from an event without refund if their behaviour is considered:

* Aggressive
* Harassing
* Intimidating
* Unsafe
* Disruptive to the enjoyment of others

Any attendee removed from an event due to misconduct will not be entitled to a refund.

9. Health, Safety & Personal Responsibility
Attendees participate in The Social Chapter Perth events at their own risk.
Participants are responsible for:
Managing their own health conditions.
Advising the organisers of any accessibility requirements prior to the event.
Advising The Social Chapter Perth of any dietary requirements, food allergies or intolerances before the event. While we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate notified dietary requirements where possible, we cannot guarantee that all requests can be met.
Purchasing their own food and beverages unless otherwise specified.
Failure to notify The Social Chapter Perth of any dietary requirements, allergies or intolerances prior to the event is the sole responsibility of the attendee. The Social Chapter Perth accepts no liability for any adverse reactions resulting from information that was not disclosed before the event.
Food and beverages may be supplied by third-party venues or catering providers. While reasonable care is taken when selecting suppliers, The Social Chapter Perth cannot guarantee that food is free from allergens or cross-contamination. Attendees with severe allergies acknowledge that trace amounts of allergens may be present and accept responsibility for assessing whether it is safe for them to consume any food or beverage provided.
Attendees with severe allergies or medical conditions requiring emergency medication (including, but not limited to, an adrenaline auto-injector (EpiPen®)) are solely responsible for bringing and carrying their own medication and ensuring it is readily available throughout the event. The Social Chapter Perth accepts no responsibility for an attendee's failure to carry or administer required medication.
By purchasing a ticket, attendees confirm that they have disclosed any known dietary requirements or allergies relevant to the catering provided and acknowledge that they attend and consume food and beverages at their own risk.

Attendees are responsible for their own personal belongings throughout the event.
The Social Chapter Perth accepts no responsibility for the loss, theft or damage of personal property.


## 10. Photography & Social Media

Photos and videos may be taken throughout the event for promotional, marketing and social media purposes.

By attending the event, you consent to being photographed or recorded unless you notify **The Social Chapter Perth** in writing prior to the event or advise the organiser upon arrival.

Reasonable efforts will be made to respect attendees who do not wish to appear in photographs or videos.

Attendees may take photographs of their own creations throughout the event and we encourage you to share and talk about the event across your social media and share your experiences, you’re welcome to tag us accordingly. We kindly ask that attendees respect the privacy of other guests and seek their consent before photographing or recording them.

## 11. Venue

This event is independently organised and operated by The Social Chapter Perth and is hosted within To Be Read Bookstore, Midland.
To Be Read Bookstore is providing the venue only and is not responsible for the organisation, management, ticket sales, event delivery, catering, workshop activities or customer enquiries relating to Tiny Tales & Tiny Shelves.
All event-related enquiries, ticketing questions, transfers and refund requests should be directed to The Social Chapter Perth.
Any books, gifts, merchandise or other purchases made from To Be Read Bookstore are separate transactions between the attendee and the bookstore and are not included in the event ticket unless expressly stated. Purchases made from the bookstore are subject to the bookstore's own policies and conditions.

By purchasing a ticket, attendees acknowledge that they have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

13. Intellectual Property
The creative concepts, workshop format, printed materials, exclusive miniature keepsakes, event branding, activities and other original content developed for Tiny Tales & Tiny Shelves remain the intellectual property of The Social Chapter Perth unless otherwise stated.
Attendees are welcome to photograph and share their own experience for personal use. However, event materials, workshop concepts and exclusive designs may not be reproduced, copied or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission from The Social Chapter Perth.


TryBooking is an online system for organisations and community groups that has been designed to look after the entire event ticketing and registration needs.

All issues relating to the sale of tickets and the hosting of their associated event(s) are the responsibility of the “Event Organiser” and not that of TryBooking Pty Ltd (Australian Business Number 71126987915).
