Requirements for Participating Juniors and Parents
1. Club Uniform
Players must wear an APTC club T-shirt or polo shirt to all matches. Club caps are optional.
2. Season Commitment
Please carefully consider your availability before registering.
Players have a responsibility to themselves, their teammates and the Club to play when rostered. Selection for future seasons may take into account whether players and parents have met their commitments during the current season.
3. WDTA Supervision Requirements
The following WDTA supervision requirements apply:
A minimum of one parent or guardian from each team must remain at the venue for the entire match.
- A $100 fine will be charged if no parent or guardian is present.
- Police are to be contacted if a child is left unsupervised for more than 10 minutes.
- Venue supervisors are responsible for coordinating the day but are not responsible for supervising individual players.
4. Team Manager Responsibilities
Parents must be prepared to act as Team Manager if their child is selected as the team captain for the season.
Team Manager responsibilities may include preparing the team roster, coordinating player availability and completing the other responsibilities outlined in the Team Manager duties list.
Team Selection
Teams will be selected using the best available information regarding each player’s standard and order of merit.
While every effort will be made to accommodate friendship requests, it may not always be possible to place friends in the same team.
Coaches from Futures Tennis Academy at Ardrie Park Tennis Club will assist with the team-selection process.
Unfortunately, we may not be able to place every applicant into a team. Any player who is not allocated to a team will receive a refund of their application fee.
Refund Policy
Refunds will be provided in the following circumstances:
- The player is not allocated to a team.
- A medical condition or injury prevents the player from participating after teams have been submitted to WDTA, such as a broken arm.
- A club shirt has not been worn, still has its original tag attached and is returned, or the Club is unable to supply the requested size.
Refunds will not be provided for a change of mind after teams have been submitted to WDTA.
