200 CLUB RAFFLE - TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
Conducted by St Joseph's Primary School, Chinchilla QLD (ABN 88 934 244 646). A Category 2 game under the Charitable and Non-Profit Gaming Act 1999 (Qld). No gaming licence is required. Approved by Melissa Hobson, Principal, on 4 August 2026.
1. PURPOSE: All net proceeds are applied toward the Year 6 school camp.
2. TICKETS: 200 tickets only, numbered 1-200. $100 per ticket plus applicable TryBooking fees. Each ticket is one entry. There is no limit on tickets per person. If all 200 sell, the maximum chance of a single ticket winning is 1 in 200.
3. PRIZE: One cash prize equal to 50% of total ticket sales - that is, A$50.00 for every ticket sold, up to a maximum of A$10,000.00 if all 200 tickets are sold. If fewer tickets are sold the prize is proportionally lower: 150 tickets sold produces a prize of $7,500, and 100 tickets sold produces a prize of $5,000. "Total ticket sales" means the number of valid paid tickets multiplied by the $100 ticket price; TryBooking transaction fees are paid by the purchaser in addition to the ticket price and do not form part of the calculation. The prize is calculated on the final number of valid paid tickets in the ticket register at the close of sales, and the amount will be announced at the draw and published with the result. The prize value always exceeds the minimum of 20% of gross proceeds required for a Category 2 game. Paid by electronic transfer to the winner's nominated Australian bank account. Not transferable or exchangeable.
4. ELIGIBILITY: Entrants must be 18 years or over. Members of the organising committee, the person conducting the draw, any person with access to the ticket register or the offline payment code, and their immediate families, are not eligible to enter.
5. PAYMENT: No ticket is valid and no entry exists until payment is received in full and a TryBooking confirmation is issued. Cash and bank transfer purchases are recorded in TryBooking by an authorised school administrator only after payment is confirmed.
6. SALES CLOSE: When all 200 tickets are sold, or 8:00pm Thursday 8 October 2026, whichever occurs first.
7. THE DRAW: 9:00am Friday 9 October 2026 at St Joseph's Primary School, 74 Middle Street, Chinchilla QLD 4413. The winning ticket is drawn at random from all valid paid entries, conducted by an authorised school representative and witnessed by at least two independent persons who are not eligible to enter. The draw is open to the public. It is a game of chance and the result is final.
8. WINNER: Notified by telephone and email within 2 business days of the draw. The winning ticket number and the prize amount are published within 7 days via the school newsletter and school communication channels. The prize is paid within 14 days of the winner being verified.
9. UNCLAIMED PRIZE: If the winner cannot be located, the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation will be notified within 7 days. The prize is held for 1 year, after which it may be applied to the school's purposes.
10. REFUNDS: Tickets are non-refundable once purchased, except where required by the Australian Consumer Law. If the raffle is cancelled before the draw, all ticket purchases are refunded in full.
11. RECORDS: A complete register of ticket numbers, purchasers, payment method, payment date and draw outcome is maintained and retained for at least 1 year, and is available to the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation on request. If gross proceeds exceed $10,000, an auditor's certificate will be obtained from an approved accountant.
12. PRIVACY: Personal information is collected to administer the raffle, contact the winner and meet record-keeping obligations, and is handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). It is not sold or used for third-party marketing.
13. GENERAL: Purchasing a ticket means you accept these terms. These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland.
Complaints may be made in writing to the school within 14 days of the draw, and if unresolved may be referred to the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation, Queensland.
