Participant Agreement & Liability Waiver
Good Rally Social Club (“Good Rally”)
Queer centred. Allies welcome. No d*ckheads.
Organiser: Kate Bartlett trading as Good Rally
Welcome to Good Rally! We are all about moving our bodies, eating good food, exploring trails, and hanging out without the pressure, the cliques, or the pretension. To keep this space safe, supportive, and sustainable for everyone, we need to get the legal stuff out of the way first.
By ticking "I agree," signing this form, registering for any of our events, or showing up to a session, you agree to the following terms.
1. Community Guidelines
We operate on a strict No D*ckheads policy. Good Rally is a LGBTQ+ inclusive, and completely open and safe space for people of all genders and backgrounds.
• We expect you to treat every single person here with genuine respect.
• Bullying, exclusion, harassment, or judgmental behaviour will result in you being asked to leave immediately without a refund.
• Look out for each other, respect personal boundaries, and keep the energy positive.
2. Physical Activity and Risk Acknowledgement
You are choosing to join us for physical activities including, but not limited to, social pickleball sessions, urban walks, bushland hikes, and outdoor picnics.
• The Risks: You acknowledge that these activities carry inherent risks. You could trip over a pickleball net, pull a muscle chasing a ball, get a blister, or take a tumble on a walk along the Swan.
• Your Body, Your Responsibility: You know your body best. You are entirely responsible for monitoring your own physical condition and deciding your limits before, during, or after our sessions. If something hurts or feels unsafe, stop immediately and seek medical attention.
• Medical Fitness: By participating, you declare that you are medically fit to do so. If you have any pre-existing injuries and/or medical conditions, it is your responsibility to ensure you have medical clearance to participate in Good Rally activities. If you have any specific mental or physical access needs you'd like us to know about so we can better support you, please let us know before booking any activity with Good Rally and we will do what we can to accommodate.
3. Limitation of Liability: Liability Waiver and Release for Recreational Services under the Australian Consumer Law (Competition and Consumer Act 2010).
Under the Australian Consumer Law, we are required to point out that our liability for death, physical or mental injury, or the contraction or aggravation of any disease or condition resulting from our recreational activities is limited or excluded to the maximum extent permitted by law.
• Exclusion of Liability: Except in cases of gross negligence, you agree that Good Rally, its founder, its organisers and affiliates, are not legally or financially liable for any personal injury, illness, damage to personal property, or financial loss that occurs during, or as a result of, participating in our events.
• Property: Good Rally does not accept responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.
4. Photos and Visuals
We love capturing Good Times to show other people what we're about. We occasionally take photos or videos during pickleball, lunches, and walks to use on our social media.
• If you prefer to not be included in photos or videos for social media purposes, please let the organiser know before we start, or give us a wave when the camera comes out, and we will make sure you are completely excluded from the shots.
5. Clear Agreement
I have read this document. I understand the risks involved in these activities, I agree to the "No D*ckheads" community standard, and I voluntarily choose to participate under these terms outlined above.
