UNDER 18’S NIGHTCLUB – TICKET TERMS & CONDITIONS

By purchasing a ticket to the Under 18’s Nightclub, the ticket purchaser and attendee agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Age Requirement
This event is strictly for young people aged 14–17 years.
Attendees may be required to provide proof of age upon entry.
Tickets purchased for persons outside the permitted age range may be refused entry.
Approved support persons accompanying an attendee with accessibility or additional support needs are exempt from the age restriction.

2. Parent/Guardian Consent
All attendees under 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to attend.
By purchasing a ticket on behalf of a young person, the purchaser confirms they are authorised to provide consent for that young person to attend the event.
A current parent/guardian or emergency contact name and telephone number must be provided during the ticket purchase process.
The nominated contact must be contactable for the duration of the event.

3. Entry & Tickets
A valid ticket must be presented for entry.
Tickets may not be resold for more than their original purchase price.
The Shire reserves the right to refuse entry where these Terms & Conditions are not met.
Attendees may be required to have their ticket checked when entering the venue.

4. Alcohol, Drugs, Smoking & Vaping
This is a strictly alcohol, drug, smoke and vape-free event.
Attendees must not:
bring alcohol or illicit substances into the venue;
consume or be under the influence of alcohol or illicit substances;
smoke or vape within the venue or event area; or
supply prohibited substances or products to another attendee.

Any attendee suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or found in possession of prohibited items, may be refused entry or removed from the event. A parent/guardian may be contacted to arrange collection.

5. Behavior
This is a safe and inclusive youth event. Attendees are expected to:
treat other attendees, performers, staff, volunteers and security personnel respectfully;
follow reasonable directions from event staff;
respect the venue and equipment; and
behave in a manner that does not compromise the safety or enjoyment of others.

Bullying, harassment, discrimination, fighting, threatening behaviour, deliberate property damage or other unsafe behaviour will not be tolerated.

Attendees displaying unacceptable behaviour may be removed from the event and their parent/guardian contacted.

6. Leaving the Event
For attendee safety, the event operates as a supervised event.

Attendees who choose to leave the venue during the event need to be collect by a parent or guardian and will not be permitted to re-enter.

Parents/guardians should ensure appropriate arrangements have been made for attendees to travel safely to and from the event.

7. Collection of Attendees
Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring appropriate collection or transport arrangements are in place at the conclusion of the event at 11:30pm.

If an attendee needs to leave early due to illness, behaviour or another concern, the nominated parent/guardian or emergency contact may be contacted and asked to collect them.

8. Bags & Prohibited Items
For the safety of everyone attending, event staff or security may request that bags be presented for inspection as a condition of entry.
Items that may present a safety risk, including weapons, alcohol, illicit substances, vaping products or other prohibited items, must not be brought into the venue.
Refusal to comply with reasonable entry and safety requirements may result in entry being refused.

9. Food & Drinks
Each attendee will receive one free hotdog and one free cooldrink as advertised.
Additional mocktails, drinks and nibbles may be available for purchase.
Attendees with allergies or dietary requirements should make appropriate enquiries before consuming food or drinks supplied at the event.

10. Accessibility & Inclusion
The Shire aims to provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive event.
A Chill/Quiet Zone will be available, together with a limited number of noise-cancelling headphones upon request.
Support persons are welcome where required by an attendee.
Parents/guardians are encouraged to contact the Shire before the event if an attendee has accessibility or support requirements that event organisers should be aware of.

11. Medical Assistance & Emergencies
Reasonable first aid and emergency assistance will be provided where required.
In the event of an emergency, event organisers may contact emergency services and the attendee's nominated parent/guardian or emergency contact.
Attendees must follow all emergency directions provided by event staff, security personnel or emergency services.

12. Photography & Video
Photography and/or video may be taken during the event for Shire promotional and communication purposes.
Where required, appropriate consent will be obtained before identifiable images of young people are used.
Parents/guardians who do not wish for their child to be photographed should advise event organisers or event staff.

13. Event Changes or Cancellation
The Shire reserves the right to alter event arrangements where reasonably necessary due to circumstances outside its control, including performer availability, safety requirements, weather, emergencies or other unforeseen circumstances.
The event is subject to minimum ticket sales as advertised.
If the event is cancelled by the organiser, ticket holders will be advised regarding applicable refund arrangements.

14. Refunds
Tickets are generally non-refundable for change of mind or inability to attend.
This does not affect any rights attendees or purchasers may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

15. Personal Belongings
Attendees are responsible for their own personal belongings.
The Shire accepts no responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged personal items except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

16. Duty of Care & Supervision
The event will be supervised by authorised event staff, volunteers and/or security personnel.
Event supervision does not replace the responsibility of parents/guardians to ensure attendees have appropriate transport, emergency contact and collection arrangements.

17. Acceptance of Conditions
By purchasing a ticket and/or attending the event, the ticket purchaser, parent/guardian and attendee acknowledge and agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions and reasonable directions provided by event organisers.
Failure to comply may result in refusal of entry or removal from the event.

TryBooking is an online system for organisations and community groups that has been designed to look after the entire event ticketing and registration needs.
