Douglas Shire Council is proud to launch the Giant Community Garage Sale! A community-wide reuse initiative that makes it easy for residents to give their pre-loved items a second life.Join us by hosting a stall at our centralised giant garage sale event where individuals and families can set up a stall in one convenient indoor location, Mossman High School Sports Complex. It will be a fun and practical way to reduce waste, support the circular economy, and keep valuable materials out of landfill.
Douglas Shire Council will be encouraging shoppers to attend the event through extensive promotion and provision of fun activities like food stalls, petting zoo, jumping castles, games, craft stalls, and waste workshops!
Whether you're clearing out the cupboards, hunting for bargains, or just keen to reduce your environmental impact, the Community Garage Sale is a great way we can all make a big difference — let’s turn clutter into community and waste into opportunity!
