Our award winning Bassist Leigh Barker is back from Paris for one night only. Joining the line up is the one and only Eamon McNelis and Heather Stewart.
An Australian double-bassist now based in Paris, Leigh is a cornerstone of Europe’s swing scene, known for appearances with Naomi Uyama’s Handsome Devils and the Gordon Webster Band. His own group serves up the heartbeat of the jazz age — classic swing, blues, hot jazz, and original tunes — played with irresistible energy and style.
Born in Canberra, trained in Melbourne, and seasoned on international stages, Leigh Barker and his band blend classic swing, blues, and original compositions into an irresistible live show. Joining him on the Trumpet is the incredible Eamon McNelis who needs no introduction after blowing the house down at several MLX’s and Canberrängs, along with Heather Stewart, award-winning vocalist and violinist, bringing her smoky tone and old-school charm straight from Paris.
