Thanks for your interest in Snow Venture. Complete this Expression of Interest to be entered into the lottery for a place at Snow Venture 2026. Successful applications will be announced in mid-March, 2-3 weeks after the closing date of the lottery. Please note that completing this does not guarantee your place at Snow Venture.What is Snow Venture?
Snow Venture is a memorable 10-day snow experience in the Victorian Alps for Venturer Scouts (aged between 15 and 18). We stay at the Bogong Rover Chalet where we have almost unlimited ski touring access to the back country whilst being secluded away from Falls Creek Village (3 hours away over snow). The Chalet is unlike any other accommodation found on Australia's Snowfields. We live on the snow in the back country and all work together in teams to keep the week rolling. The location and teamwork creates a unique atmosphere.
You will have plenty of time to work on your Alpine OAS progressions as well.
There are only 25 places available for Venturers to join this unique adventure and it's super popular, so if you are interested in joining us please register your interest to be in the running.
Criteria
Age: Venturers must be over 15 years and younger than 18 years of age on the first day of Snow Venture (10 July 2026).
Experience: OAS Bushwalking Stage 4 and OAS Bushcraft and Camping Stage 3. No ski experience required!
Suitability: Have experience hiking and carrying a backpack loaded for an overnight trip - Snow Venture is a physically challenging activity.
Cost: $960 for Venturers which includes transport (return ex Crafers), accommodation and meals for 10 days.
