This special showcase will bring Melbourne’s multicultural communities together on one stage to share the rhythm, colour and beauty of traditional and culturally inspired dance.
Whether you are a solo performer, duet, dance school, community group, student club or cultural association, this is your opportunity to represent your heritage, share your talent and be part of a joyful community celebration.

Who Can Participate?
We welcome solo performers, duets, cultural associations, community groups, student clubs and all ages to share cultural dance, folk traditions, Traditional, folk, classical and culturally inspired dance performers, classical styles and respectful fusion performances. This event is about honouring heritage, building cultural bridges and creating a warm local stage where every community feels seen and celebrated. All cultures and backgrounds are welcome.

This is more than a performance slot. It is a chance to become part of a community story that celebrates Melbourne’s multicultural spirit.
Performance Guidelines
Performances should be family-friendly and suitable for a community audience.
Performance duration:
Solo and duet performances: up to 2.5 minutes
Group performances: up to 3.5 minutes
Traditional, folk, classical and culturally inspired dance forms are encouraged. Fusion performances are welcome where they respectfully celebrate cultural identity.
Final performance details, music submission instructions and arrival times will be shared with confirmed performers closer to the event.
To create a balanced and beautiful multicultural programme, performer spots are limited. TogetherVSmile may review registrations to ensure a diverse mix of cultures, age groups and dance styles.
