Hospital Helpers (12-15Yrs)
About
Discover how wildlife rehabilitators — including volunteers, vets, and carers — help sick and injured animals every day!This program is designed for students in Year 7 to Year 10, participants will:
- Learn the steps of wildlife rehabilitation and how different seasons affect the hospital
- Find out what animals need while they are being cared for
- Go behind the scenes and help our volunteers care for our many paitents
- Meet some of Kanyana’s wildlife ambassadors up close
This is a drop-off program that runs from 8.30am to 2.30pm at Kanyana Wildlife. Please arrive 15 minutes early for sign-in.
Participants need to bring:
- Morning tea and lunch (food is not provided and there is no café onsite)
- A water bottle
- Enclosed shoes (required for safety)
All Program Leaders have a Working With Children Check and First Aid certification.
