NH Week Event 2025 - What’s in your Neighbourhood?

Neighbourhood House Week is an annual national event recognising the significant role played by more than 1,000 Neighbourhood Houses and Community Centres in supporting local communities throughout Australia.Come celebrate Neighbourhood House Week in Brimbank with activities and learn about local services and programs available to you.
There will be programs for all ages and skill levels.
Activities include:
- Gardening program
- Sensory Play
- Face Painting
- Pottery Hand-building
- Basketball
- Brimbank Service EXPO
- Seed Sharing
- Craft Activities & many more
Live entertainment and a community barbeque on the day.
***Please Note: all children must be supervised by parents/guardians at all times.***

By registering in this event I agree to;
Indemnity: Do you agree to the following Indemnity: I/we as the parent(s) guardian(s) and participant of this event are/am aware in registering in this event that aspects of the activity in which my child and I intends to participate could be physically or emotionally demanding. Furthermore, I understand that certain inherent risks and dangers exist in the activities in which he/she will be participating. I acknowledge that while every reasonable effort to minimise exposure to known risks will be taken, all hazards and dangers associated with these activities cannot be foreseen or may be beyond the control of the organised body. I acknowledge that I have been provided with all the information I require regarding the programs.
I/we consent to Council, their staff, and agents, that in the event of injury/illness to the child, to contact medical authorities and / or the ambulance service and if appropriate, implement basic first aid procedures to minimise further risk of harm, and I/we hereby agree to indemnity and hold harmless Council and their servants and agents from their actions thereof.
I, the Participant/Parent or Guardian hereby agree to indemnify and keep indemnified the Brimbank Council, it’s servants and agents, from and against all actions, costs, claims, charges, expenses and damages whatsoever, which may be brought or made against them or any of them arising out of, or in connections with the activity, except to the extent that Brimbank Council, it’s servants, agents contributed to the loss and liability.
I agree with the Workers at the event seeking any medical assistance that is necessary in the event of such an accident or illness and to pay all the fees and expenses incurred.
Furthermore, I understand that the Workers cannot accept supervision responsibility of your child arriving before during or staying after the listed hours of a program or event.
Customer Behaviour: One of Council’s goals is to create an inclusive community by supporting access, equity, community participation and human rights for all citizens. However, there may be situations where Council chooses to ban or remove a customer displaying inappropriate behaviour from using specific Council services for a specific period of time.
Privacy Collection Statement: Personal and health information collected on enrolment forms is used solely for the purpose of participating in the program that you have enrolled in. The personal and/or health information will not be disclosed to any other person unless required by law. You may apply for access and/or make amendment to your personal or health information if required by contacting Council’s FOI Officer in writing.’
