The Guzheng Odyssey – Chinese New Year Concert 2026 presents the Guzheng in a fresh and captivating way, revealing the instrument’s poetic depth and expressive beauty. Led by conductor Sara Duhig and Guzheng musician Xueyan Chen, the concert features brilliant solo and concerto performances with orchestra, including several Australian premieres. Highlighting a cross-cultural collaboration, the Guzheng joins with the Didgeridoo performed by Sanshi, creating a rich musical dialogue that bridges Chinese tradition, Indigenous culture, and Western symphonic art — embracing the local spirit to celebrate the Chinese New Year.Date
