20x20 ART EXHIBITION (2026)

LOCATION: Community Gallery, 36 Webb St East Gosford
Celebrating its ninth year, the 20x20 Art Exhibition is an annual community event in partnership with the Gosford Regional Gallery. Central Coast residents are invited to submit 3 artworks for an entry fee of $20, based on this year’s theme of “Old” and/or “New”. Funds raised through this exhibition support community programs at the Gallery.
This year we are also inviting young Central Coast residents aged 8 - 16 to submit one (1) artwork for an entry fee of $10, based on this year’s theme of “Old” and/or “New”.
The entry fee is non-refundable. Numbers are limited. Please complete artworks prior to registering.
All adult artworks must be for sale and will be displayed and sold anonymously. Children’s artworks will not be for sale. All artworks are to be presented on 20.3cm x 20.3cm x 3.7cm canvases (or 8”x 8” x 1.4” DEEP canvas). Other canvases will not be accepted. Canvases are available from the Gallery gift shop for purchase for this exhibition.

DEADLINE for registration via the online booking site is midnight on Sunday 12 July 2026 (unless the maximum number of entries is reached earlier).
DELIVER YOUR ARTWORK: Studio 2, Gosford Regional Gallery 36 Webb St. East Gosford on Saturday 18th July 2026 between 10am - 4pm.
WIN: Each artist will be in the running to win a People’s Choice Award (as voted by the public) which will be announced on Tuesday 4th August 2026. The winner for the adult section will receive $250, and the winner of the youth section will receive an art materials pack.
COLLECTION OF UNSOLD WORKS: A reception for the artists, including the announcement of the People’s Choice award winner, is planned for 4th August 2026 from 6pm - 8pm in the Community Gallery. Unsold artworks are to be picked up at this function. Otherwise, all unsold artworks must be picked up by the following week (at the reception desk in the main Gallery building).
CHILDREN'S ENTRIES: This year, for the first time, there will be a section dedicated to children's artworks. Parents of young artists aged 8 -16 years are welcome to register one work for each child, as per the exhibition terms and conditions overleaf. Please note that numbers are limited and separate entries are required for each child. These artworks will be displayed in a separate section of the exhibition and will NOT BE FOR SALE.
Note: The child’s name is not to be displayed on the front of the artwork.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
- Open to residents of the NSW Central Coast only
- The theme for 2026 is “Old & New”
- Adult artists may enter three (3) artworks for an entry fee of $20. A single registration (for 3 artworks per adult artist) is required. Only one entry per artist will be accepted.
- Young artists aged 8 - 16 years may enter one (1) artwork for an entry fee of $10. Only one entry per child will be accepted.
- Numbers are limited and entry fees are not refundable.
- Artwork final size is 20.3cm (height) x 20.3 cm (width) x 3.7cm (depth) (or 8”x 8”), which are the dimensions of DEEP EDGE canvases. Other canvases will not be accepted.
- Canvases are available from the Gallery gift shop (3 for $24 or $9 each)
- Artworks can include paintings, photos, prints, drawings, collage and 3D, but all artworks must be produced or mounted on W20.3 x H20.3 x D3.7cm canvases or wooden backing of the same dimensions. Please avoid adding elements to the surface as the depth should not exceed 3.7cm.
- Signature, name, and title on the back only (all artworks will be displayed anonymously until sold)
- As artworks will be sold individually, presenting a series is not recommended
- All adult artworks must be for sale for $100 each (children’s work is not for sale) Commission is 25% from each sale (i.e. $75 from each sale will be paid to the artist after the end of the exhibition)
- Artwork titles must be provided at time of entry (please complete artworks prior to registering)
- Adult participants are expected to share the duties of staffing the exhibition and helping with set-up & dismantling
- Artworks will be exhibited in the Community Gallery at 36 Webb St, East Gosford from 22 July to 3 August 2026 from 9:30am to 4pm daily

- Work previously exhibited will not be accepted
- Wet artworks will not be accepted
- Artworks must meet the required dimensions
- Please do not attach or include hanging devices
