AusNet Landcare Volunteering at Heathmont
About
Get your hands dirty restoring the natural environment at Dandenong Creek by planting native seedlings, participating in citizen scientist work to inspect nest boxes for sugar gliders and collect some rubbish to prevent it entering the creek.
No experience required, you will be guided by experienced Landcare supervisors who will show you what to do, and teach you about their efforts to enhance the creek situated on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri People and the Boon Wurrung People of the Kulin Nation.
You will be provided with gloves, and all tools and equipment required to undertake the tasks on the day; as well as a catered lunch to enjoy with your team.
This activity involves a moderate level of physical activity.
Time: 9:30am - 2:30pm.
Capacity: 25 people
Further information will be sent to you after booking.
