Lift Up - Good Friday Night Walk 2026
About
Good Friday Night Walk: A Journey of Reflection & RenewalThis Good Friday, young people and families are invited to take part in an evening pilgrimage walk. Together we will step into the quiet of the night, reflect on the significance of this sacred day and to hold space for hope even in moments of darkness.
Together, we’ll walk from the Mary MacKillop Plaza on the corner of Wakefield St and Victoria Square (adjacent the Cathedral), to the Queen of Angels Church in Thebarton where we will pause for reflections and prayer before returning to the Adelaide CBD, finishing at St Francis Xavier's Cathedral.
Hosted by the Catholic Office for Youth and Young Adults (COYYA), this all‑ages pilgrimage is grounded in the experience and vision of our young people across the Archdiocese, and we warmly invite everyone to share in this journey with them. This is an opportunity for our community to unite, to hold with reverence the presence of our young people, and to accompany them with steady hope.
