Love mushrooms but nervous about picking the wrong one?Come join me - Natasha from Tash Can Cook - for a beginner-friendly Edible Mushroom Identification & Foraging Workshop in Gippsland!
We’ll kick off with an educational 1.5-hour theoretical talk covering mushroom biology, how to confidently ID edible (and inedible!) local species, and what to watch for when foraging safely. Expect slides, stories, and fun facts that’ll stick like spores!
During the presentation, participants can enjoy a light charcuterie board featuring some special mushroom recipes - so come hungry for both food and knowledge!
Then we’ll head out for a relaxed bushwalk a short drive away, to see what wild fungi we can find. This isn’t just a class - it’s an adventure, grounded in mycological science and respect for nature.
